The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah after Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him while he was bound in chains among all the exiles of Jerusalem and Judah, who were being exiled to Babylon.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.

The word that hath been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, after Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, hath sent him from Ramah, in his taking him -- and he a prisoner in chains -- in the midst of all the removal of Jerusalem and of Judah, who are removed to Babylon.

The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord after Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had released him at Ramah. He had found Jeremiah bound in chains among all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah who were being carried into exile to Babylon.

Now the captain of the bodyguard had taken Jeremiah and said to him, Jehovah your God spoke this evil against this place.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

And the captain of the body-guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, Jehovah thy God pronounced this evil upon this place,

And the chief of the executioners taketh Jeremiah, and saith unto him, 'Jehovah thy God hath spoken this evil concerning this place,

When the commander of the guard found Jeremiah, he said to him, "The Lord your God decreed this disaster for this place.

耶和华使这祸临到，照祂所说的行了；因为你们得罪耶和华，没有听从祂的话，所以这事临到你们。

וַיָּבֵ֥א וַיַּ֛עַשׂ יְהוָ֖ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֵּ֑ר כִּֽי־חֲטָאתֶ֤ם לַֽיהוָה֙ וְלֹֽא־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֣ם בְּקֹולֹ֔ו וְהָיָ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם דָּבָרהַזֶּֽה׃

And Jehovah has caused it to come to pass and done as He had spoken, because all of you have sinned against Jehovah and have not listened to His voice; therefore this thing has come upon you.

Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

and Jehovah hath brought [it about] and done according as he said; for ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened unto his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

and Jehovah bringeth it in, and doth as He spake, because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened to His voice, even this thing hath been to you.

And now the Lord has brought it about; he has done just as he said he would. All this happened because you people sinned against the Lord and did not obey him.

现今我解开你手上的链子。你若看与我同往巴比伦去好，就可以去，我必看顾你；你若看与我同往巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地在你面前；你以为哪里美好，哪里合宜，只管往哪里去吧。

现在我解开你手上的链子，你若看与我同往巴比伦去好，就可以去，我必厚待你；你若看与我同往巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地在你面前，你以为哪里美好，哪里合宜，只管上那里去吧。”

我现在解开你手上的铁链。你若认为与我一同到巴比伦去好，就一起去，我必好好照顾你；你若认为与我一同到巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看，全地都在你面前，你认为去哪里好、哪里合宜，就到哪里去吧！”

现在，你看，今天我给你除去手上的锁链；你若看着同我一起到巴比伦去好，就去，我必另眼看待你；你若看着同我一起到巴比伦去不好，没有关系；你看，整个大地摆在你面前，你看着那里好，去那里相宜，就到那去吧。

现在你看，我今日解开了你手上的链子。你若看跟我往巴比伦去好，就去；我可以好好地照应你；你若看跟我往巴比伦去不好，就不必去。看哪，全地都在你面前；你看哪里好、哪里合宜去，就上哪里去吧！

And now I release you today from the chains which are on your hands. If it is good in your sight to come to Babylon with me, come, and I will look after you; but if it is evil in your sight to come with me to Babylon, let it be so. See, all the land is before you; wherever it is good and right in your sight to go, there go.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains that are upon thy hand. If it seem good in thy sight to come with me to Babylon, come, and I will keep mine eye upon thee; but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me to Babylon, forbear. See, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and right in thy sight to go, thither go.

'And now, lo, I have loosed thee to-day from the chains that are on thy hand; if good in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, come, and I keep mine eye upon thee: and if evil in thine eyes to come with me to Babylon, forbear; see, all the land is before thee, whither it be good, and whither it be right in thine eyes to go -- go.' --

But today I am freeing you from the chains on your wrists. Come with me to Babylon, if you like, and I will look after you; but if you do not want to, then don't come. Look, the whole country lies before you; go wherever you please."

耶利米还没有回去，护卫长说，你可以回到沙番的孙子，亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去；现在巴比伦王派他管理犹大的城邑；你可以在他那里住在民中；不然，你看哪里合宜，就可以往哪里去。于是护卫长送他粮食和礼物，放他去了。

耶利米还没有回去，护卫长说：“你可以回到沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去，现在巴比伦王立他作犹大城邑的省长。你可以在他那里住在民中，不然，你看哪里合宜就可以上那里去。”于是护卫长送他粮食和礼物，释放他去了。

耶利米还没有回答，护卫长又说（“耶利米还没有回答，护卫长又说”原文意思难确定，有译本改作“你若认为回去好”）：“你可以回到沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去！基大利是巴比伦王指派管理犹大各城的。你可以和他一起住在人民中间；或是你认为去哪里合宜，就到哪里去吧！”于是护卫长给他粮食和礼物，就释放他走了。

你若愿住下，可回到巴比伦王委任管理犹大城镇的沙番的孙子，阿希甘的儿子革达里雅那里去，与他一同住在民间；或是到你看着相宜的任何地方去。”卫队长便给了他干粮和礼物，打发他走了。

你若看回去好（经文有残缺），就回到沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去吧；基大利是巴比伦王立做犹大众城市的总督的；你可以在他那里住在人民中间：或者，你看哪里顶合宜去，就上哪里去吧。”于是护卫长给他一分粮食以及赏赐，便放他走。

他(指耶利米)尚未回去时，“你可以回到…沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利那里去；巴比伦王所立为犹大城邑省长的你可以在他那里住在民中，不然，你看哪里合宜．就可以去(那里)。”于是侍卫长送他粮食和礼物，释放他去了。

וְעֹודֶ֣נּוּ לֹֽא־יָשׁ֗וּב וְשֻׁ֡בָה אֶל־גְּדַלְיָ֣ה בֶן־אֲחִיקָ֣ם בֶּן־שָׁפָ֡ן אֲשֶׁר֩ הִפְקִ֨יד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֜ל בְּעָרֵ֣ייְהוּדָ֗ה וְשֵׁ֤ב אִתֹּו֙ בְּתֹ֣וךְ הָעָ֔ם אֹ֠ו אֶל־כָּל־הַיָּשָׁ֧ר בְּעֵינֶ֛יךָ לָלֶ֖כֶת לֵ֑ךְ וַיִּתֶּן־לֹ֧ו רַב־טַבָּחִ֛יםאֲרֻחָ֥ה וּמַשְׂאֵ֖ת וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵֽהוּ׃

While he had still not turned away, he said, Return to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wherever it is right in your sight to go. And the captain of the bodyguard gave him an allowance of food and a present and let him go.

Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.

And while he had not yet given answer; [he said,] Yea, go back to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and abide with him in the midst of the people; or go wheresoever it seemeth right in thy sight to go. And the captain of the body-guard gave him provisions and a present, and let him go.

and while he doth not reply -- 'Or turn back unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath appointed over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him in the midst of the people, or whithersoever it is right in thine eyes to go -- go.' And the chief of the executioners giveth to him for the way, and a gift, and sendeth him away,

However, before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added, "Go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the towns of Judah, and live with him among the people, or go anywhere else you please." Then the commander gave him provisions and a present and let him go.

And when all the captains of the forces that were in the field, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam over the land and had committed to him men and women and little children and those of the poor of the land who had not been exiled to Babylon,

Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

And all the heads of the forces that are in the field hear, they and their men, that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam over the land, and that he hath charged him with men, and women, and infants, and of the poor of the land, of those who have not been removed to Babylon;

When all the army officers and their men who were still in the open country heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam as governor over the land and had put him in charge of the men, women and children who were the poorest in the land and who had not been carried into exile to Babylon,

他们就到米斯巴儿子去见基大利；去的有尼探雅的儿子以实玛利、（传统：和┅┅以实玛利）加利亚的两个儿子约哈难和约拿单、单户篾的儿子西莱雅、尼陀法人以斐（传统：窝斐）的儿子们、和玛迦人的儿子耶撒尼亚（王下25：23作‘雅撒尼亚’）：这些人和他们属下的人。

They came to Gedaliah at Mizpah, that is, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, swore to them and to their men, saying, Do not be afraid to serve the Chaldeans; dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.

Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, took an oath to reassure them and their men. "Do not be afraid to serve the Babylonians, " he said. "Settle down in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will go well with you.

至于我，我要住在米斯巴，伺候那到我们这里来的迦勒底人；只是你们当收积酒、夏天的果子和油，放在器皿里，住在你们所占的城邑中。

וַאֲנִ֗י הִנְנִ֤י יֹשֵׁב֙ בַּמִּצְפָּ֔ה לַֽעֲמֹד֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָבֹ֖אוּ אֵלֵ֑ינוּ וְאַתֶּ֡ם אִסְפוּ֩ יַ֨יִן וְקַ֜יִץוְשֶׁ֗מֶן וְשִׂ֨מוּ֙ בִּכְלֵיכֶ֔ם וּשְׁב֖וּ בְּעָרֵיכֶ֥ם אֲשֶׁר־תְּפַשְׂתֶּֽם׃

Now as for me, I will dwell in Mizpah to stand before the Chaldeans who come to us; but you, gather wine and summer fruit and oil and put them in your storage vessels, and dwell in your cities which you have taken.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

还有那些在摩押地、在亚扪人中间、在以东地和各国之地的一切犹大人、一听见巴比伦王给犹大留下些余剩之民，并且立了沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利做总督来管理他们，

And all the Jews who were in Moab and among the children of Ammon and in Edom and who were in all the lands also heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah and had appointed over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan.

Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;

When all the Jews in Moab, Ammon, Edom and all the other countries heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant in Judah and had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, as governor over them,

这一切犹大人就从被赶到的各地方回来，到犹大地的米斯巴基大利那里，又收积了许多酒，和夏天的果子。

וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ כָל־הַיְּהוּדִ֗ים מִכָּל־הַמְּקֹמֹות֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִדְּחוּ־שָׁ֔ם וַיָּבֹ֧אוּ אֶֽרֶץ־יְהוּדָ֛ה אֶל־גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּהַמִּצְפָּ֑תָה וַיַּאַסְפ֛וּ יַ֥יִן וָקַ֖יִץ הַרְבֵּ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃ פ

And all the Jews returned from all the places to which they had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah at Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruit in great abundance.

And Johanan the son of Kareah and all the captains of the forces who were in the field came to Gedaliah at Mizpah.

对他说：“你是否知道：阿孟子民的君王巴里斯派遣乃塔尼雅的儿子依市玛耳来杀害你？”但是阿希甘的儿子革达里雅不相信他们的话。

对他说：“亚扪人的王巴利斯打发尼探雅的儿子以实玛利来要击杀你、你知道么呢？”亚希甘的儿子基大利却不信他们话。

对他说：“你知道吗？亚扪人的王巴利斯．差遣尼探雅的儿子以实玛利．来谋害你的命。”亚希甘的儿子基大利却不相信他们。

וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו הֲיָדֹ֤עַ תֵּדַע֙ כִּ֞י בַּעֲלִ֣יס׀ מֶ֣לֶךְ בְּנֵֽי־עַמֹּ֗ון שָׁלַח֙ אֶת־יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָ֔הלְהַכֹּתְךָ֖ נָ֑פֶשׁ וְלֹא־הֶאֱמִ֣ין לָהֶ֔ם גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ בֶּן־אֲחִיקָֽם׃

And they said to him, Are you at all aware that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam would not believe them.

And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

and said unto him, Dost thou indeed know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to smite thee to death? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

and they say unto him, 'Dost thou really know that Baalis king of the sons of Ammon hath sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to smite thy soul?' And Gedaliah son of Ahikam hath not given to them credence.

and said to him, "Don't you know that Baalis king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to take your life?" But Gedaliah son of Ahikam did not believe them.

卡勒亚的儿子约哈南私下在米兹帕对革达里雅提议说：“让我去杀了乃塔尼雅的儿子依耳玛耳，没有人知道；为什么要让他来谋害你的性命，使集合在你身边的一切犹太人又遭离散，犹太遗民再遭灭亡？”

加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利说：“请容我去击杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必没有人会知道的。何必让他来击杀你，使集合到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大余剩之民都灭亡呢？”

加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利．说：“求你容我去杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必无人知道。何必让他谋害你的命，使聚集到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大剩余的人都灭亡呢？”

וְיֹוחָנָ֣ן בֶּן־קָרֵ֡חַ אָמַ֣ר אֶל־גְּדַלְיָהוּ֩ בַסֵּ֨תֶר בַּמִּצְפָּ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר אֵ֤לְכָה נָּא֙ וְאַכֶּה֙ אֶת־יִשְׁמָעֵ֣אלבֶּן־נְתַנְיָ֔ה וְאִ֖ישׁ לֹ֣א יֵדָ֑ע לָ֧מָּה יַכֶּ֣כָּה נֶּ֗פֶשׁ וְנָפֹ֨צוּ֙ כָּל־יְהוּדָ֔ה הַנִּקְבָּצִ֣ים אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְאָבְדָ֖ה שְׁאֵרִ֥יתיְהוּדָֽה׃

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke secretly to Gedaliah in Mizpah, saying, Let me go and strike Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no one will know. Why should he take your life and all the Jews who are gathered to you be scattered and the remnant of Judah perish?

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?

And Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will smite Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and no man shall know it: why should he take thy life, and all they of Judah who are gathered unto thee be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?

And Johanan son of Kareah hath spoken unto Gedaliah in secret, in Mizpah, saying, 'Let me go, I pray thee, and I smite Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and no one doth know; why doth he smite thy soul? and scattered have been all Judah who are gathered unto thee, and perished hath the remnant of Judah.'

Then Johanan son of Kareah said privately to Gedaliah in Mizpah, "Let me go and kill Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and no one will know it. Why should he take your life and cause all the Jews who are gathered around you to be scattered and the remnant of Judah to perish?"

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר גְּדַלְיָ֤הוּ בֶן־אֲחִיקָם֙ אֶל־יֹוחָנָ֣ן בֶּן־קָרֵ֔חַ אַֽל־תַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה כִּֽי־שֶׁ֛קֶר אַתָּ֥הדֹבֵ֖ר אֶל־יִשְׁמָעֵֽאל׃ ס

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, Do not do this thing, for you are speaking falsehood concerning Ishmael.

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing; for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.

And Gedaliah son of Ahikam saith unto Johanan son of Kareah, 'Thou dost not do this thing, for falsehood thou art speaking concerning Ishmael.'

But Gedaliah son of Ahikam said to Johanan son of Kareah, "Don't do such a thing! What you are saying about Ishmael is not true."
