Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says Jehovah: / I remember concerning you the kindness of your youth, / The love of your bridal days, / When you followed after Me in the wilderness, / In a land that was not sown.

Thus says Jehovah: / What iniquity did your fathers find in Me / That they went far away from Me / And walked after vanity / And became vain?

And they did not say, Where is Jehovah, / Who brought us up from the land of Egypt, / Who brought us through the wilderness, / Through a land of deserts and pits, / Through a land of drought and the shadow of death, / Through a land that no one passes through / And where no man dwells?

Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

They did not ask, 'Where is the Lord , who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and rifts, a land of drought and darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?'

And I brought you into the land of the fruited field, / To eat its fruit and its goodness. / But you came and defiled My land / And made My inheritance an abomination.

祭司都不说,耶和华在哪里呢?执掌律法的,都不认识我,牧者违背我,申言者借巴力说预言,随从无益之物。

祭司都不说:‘耶和华在哪里呢?’传讲律法的都不认识我,官长违背我,先知借巴力说预言,随从无益的神。”

众祭司都不问:‘耶和华在哪里?’律法师不认识我,官长悖逆我,先知奉巴力的名说预言,跟从那无益的偶像。

司祭们也不问一问:“上主在哪里?”那些管理法律的,不认识我了;那些为人牧的,叛离了我;先知们也奉巴耳讲预言,追随无能的神祇。

祭司都不查问说:‘永恒主在哪里?’那些处理礼节规矩的都不认识我,牧民者都悖逆了我;神言人借着巴力(即:外国人的神)去传神言,随从着无益的神。

הַכֹּהֲנִ֗ים לֹ֤א אָֽמְרוּ֙ אַיֵּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה וְתֹפְשֵׂ֤י הַתֹּורָה֙ לֹ֣א יְדָע֔וּנִי וְהָרֹעִ֖ים פָּ֣שְׁעוּ בִ֑י וְהַנְּבִיאִים֙נִבְּא֣וּ בַבַּ֔עַל וְאַחֲרֵ֥י לֹֽא־יֹועִ֖לוּ הָלָֽכוּ׃

The priests did not say, / Where is Jehovah? / And those who handle the law did not know Me, / And the shepherds transgressed against Me, / And the prophets prophesied by Baal / And followed after things that did not benefit them.

The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
