And he built fortress cities in Judah; for the land was quiet and there was no war against him during those years, because Jehovah had given him rest.

阿撒的军队，持盾执戈的犹大人三十万，持牌挽弓的本雅明人二十八万：这些人都是勇士。

他对犹大人说：“我们要修造这些城，让四围有墙，有谯楼，有门，有闩；地还在我们手下（原文：面前），因为我们寻求永恒主我们的上帝；我们既寻求他，他就使我们四面平静。”于是他们就修造，而且很顺利。

(原文14:6)他对犹大(人)说：“我们要建造这些城镇，四围筑墙，和楼，和门，和闩。国仍然属我们，因我们寻求雅威──我们的神，我们既寻求祂，祂就使我们四境平靖。”于是他们建造，诸事亨通；

וַיְהִ֣י לְאָסָ֗א חַיִל֮ נֹשֵׂ֣א צִנָּ֣ה וָרֹמַח֒ מִֽיהוּדָה֙ שְׁלֹ֣שׁ מֵאֹ֣ות אֶ֔לֶף סוּמִבִּנְיָמִ֗ן נֹשְׂאֵ֤י מָגֵן֙ וְדֹ֣רְכֵיקֶ֔שֶׁת מָאתַ֥יִם וּשְׁמֹונִ֖ים אָ֑לֶף כָּל־אֵ֖לֶּה גִּבֹּ֥ורֵי חָֽיִל׃

For he said to Judah, Let us build these cities and put around them walls with towers, gates, and bars. The land is still before us because we have pursued Jehovah our God; we have pursued Him, and He has given us rest all around. So they built and prospered.

Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

And he said to Judah, Let us build these cities, and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars, while the land is yet before us; for we have sought Jehovah our God; we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side. And they built and prospered.

And he saith to Judah, 'Let us build these cities, and compass them with wall, and towers, two-leaved doors, and bars, while the land is before us, because we have sought Jehovah our God, we have sought, and He giveth rest to us round about;' and they build and prosper.

Let us build up these towns, he said to Judah, "and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side." So they built and prospered.

亚撒的军兵，出自犹大的，有拿挡牌、拿枪的三十万人，出自便雅悯的，有拿盾牌、拉弓的二十八万人；这些都是大能的勇士。

And Asa had an army of three hundred thousand from Judah who bore shields and spears and of two hundred eighty thousand from Benjamin who bore hand shields and drew bows; all these were mighty men of valor.

And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.

于是亚撒出去迎击他；彼此就在玛利沙的洗法谷摆上阵来。

亚撒呼求耶和华他的神，说，耶和华啊，我们或是有能，或是无力，除你以外，没有谁能帮助我们。耶和华我们的神啊，求你帮助我们，因为我们信靠你，在你的名里来攻击这军众。耶和华啊，你是我们的神，不要让人胜过你。

亚撒呼求耶和华他的神，说：“耶和华啊，惟有你能帮助软弱的，胜过强盛的。耶和华我们的神啊，求你帮助我们，因为我们仰赖你，奉你的名来攻击这大军。耶和华啊，你是我们的神，不要容人胜过你。”

亚撒呼求耶和华他的神说：“耶和华啊，强弱悬殊，除你以外没有别的帮助。耶和华我们的神啊，求你帮助我们。因为我们倚靠你，奉你的名去对抗这大军。耶和华啊，你是我们的神，不要让人胜过你。”

于是上主在阿撒和犹大人前打击了雇士人，雇士人遂逃走。

亚撒向永恒主他的上帝呼求说：“永恒主啊，在强盛者与软弱无力者之间，除了你以外是没有帮助者的。永恒主我们的上帝啊，求你帮助我们；因为我们依靠着你，我们奉你的名去对付这蜂拥军兵。永恒主啊，你才是我们的上帝；不要让人有把握胜过你哦。”

亚撒呼求雅威──他的神说：“雅威啊，帮助强盛的或没有力气的，对你没差。雅威──我们的神啊，求你帮助我们；因为我们仰赖你，奉你的名来攻击这大军。雅威啊，你是我们的神，不要容人限制了你。

וַיִּגֹּ֤ף יְהוָה֙ אֶת־הַכּוּשִׁ֔ים לִפְנֵ֥י אָסָ֖א וְלִפְנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ הַכּוּשִֽׁים׃

And Asa called out to Jehovah his God and said, O Jehovah, there is none besides You to help us, between the mighty and those without strength. Help us, O Jehovah our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name we have come against this multitude. O Jehovah, You are our God; do not let mortal man prevail against You.

And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

And Asa cried unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, it maketh no difference to thee to help, whether there be much or no power: help us, O Jehovah our God, for we rely on thee, and in thy name have we come against this multitude. Jehovah, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.

And Asa calleth unto Jehovah his God, and saith, 'Jehovah! it is nothing with Thee to help, between the mighty and those who have no power; help us, O Jehovah, our God, for on Thee we have leant, and in Thy name we have come against this multitude; O Jehovah, our God thou art; let him not prevail with Thee -- mortal man!

Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, "Lord , there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O Lord , you are our God; do not let man prevail against you."

于是永恒主把古实人击败在亚撒和犹大人面前，古实人就逃跑了。

וַיִּרְדְּפֵ֨ם אָסָ֜א וְהָעָ֣ם אֲשֶׁר־עִמֹּו֮ עַד־לִגְרָר֒ וַיִּפֹּ֤ל מִכּוּשִׁים֙ לְאֵ֣ין לָהֶ֣ם מִֽחְיָ֔ה כִּֽי־נִשְׁבְּר֥וּלִפְנֵֽי־יְהוָ֖ה וְלִפְנֵ֣י מַחֲנֵ֑הוּ וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ שָׁלָ֖ל הַרְבֵּ֥ה מְאֹֽד׃

And Jehovah struck the Cushites before Asa and before Judah, and the Cushites fled.

So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

他们又攻破了革辣尔四周所有的城池，因为上主的恐怖笼罩了这些城池；犹大人又将所有的城掳掠一空，因为城中有许多财物。

亚撒和跟随的兵众追赶了他们、直到基拉耳；古实人仆倒，没有一个存活的；因为他们在永恒主和永恒主的军兵面前被打得粉碎；犹大人（原文：他们）就夺取了非常多掠物。

וַיַּכּ֗וּ אֵ֤ת כָּל־הֶֽעָרִים֙ סְבִיבֹ֣ות גְּרָ֔ר כִּי־הָיָ֥ה פַֽחַד־יְהוָ֖ה עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וַיָּבֹ֨זּוּ֙ אֶת־כָּל־הֶ֣עָרִ֔יםכִּֽי־בִזָּ֥ה רַבָּ֖ה הָיְתָ֥ה בָהֶֽם׃

And Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and so many of the Cushites fell that they could not recover, for they were shattered before Jehovah and before His army. And they carried away very much spoil.

And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.

And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them to Gerar; and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that none of them was left alive; for they were crushed before Jehovah and before his army. And they carried away very much spoil.

and Asa and the people who are with him pursue them even to Gerar, and there fall of the Cushim, for they have no preserving, because they have been broken before Jehovah, and before His camp; and they bear away very much spoil,

and Asa and his army pursued them as far as Gerar. Such a great number of Cushites fell that they could not recover; they were crushed before the Lord and his forces. The men of Judah carried off a large amount of plunder.
