然而人跌倒,怎会不伸手?人遇灾祸,怎会不呼救呢?
思
若穷人遇到不幸向我求救,我岂不伸手去援助他?

“然而人在荒堆、哪不伸手?人遇灾祸、哪不因而呼救呢?
直
然而,人在废墟中岂不伸手?在他的灾难中岂不向他们求救呢?

אַ֣ךְ לֹא־בְ֭עִי יִשְׁלַח־יָ֑ד אִם־בְּ֝פִידֹ֗ו לָהֶ֥ן שֽׁוּעַ׃
R
Nevertheless does not a man put forth his hand when he falls, / Or because of his disaster therefore cry out?

Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction.

Indeed, no prayer [availeth] when he stretcheth out [his] hand: though they cry when he destroyeth.

Surely not against the heap Doth He send forth the hand, Though in its ruin they have safety.
I
Surely no one lays a hand on a broken man when he cries for help in his distress.

日子艰难的,我岂不为他哭泣?穷乏的,我魂岂不为他忧愁?

אִם־לֹ֣א בָ֭כִיתִי לִקְשֵׁה־יֹ֑ום עָֽגְמָ֥ה נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י לָאֶבְיֹֽון׃

Did I not weep for him who had hard days? / Was my soul not grieved for the needy?

Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?

Did not I weep for him whose days were hard? was not my soul grieved for the needy?

Did not I weep for him whose day is hard? Grieved hath my soul for the needy.

Have I not wept for those in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?

我期望得福乐,灾祸就到了;我等待光明,黑暗便来了。

我仰望得好处,灾祸就到了;我等待光明,黑暗便来了。

我希望幸福,来的却是灾祸;我期待光明,黑暗反而来临。

כִּ֤י טֹ֣וב קִ֭וִּיתִי וַיָּ֣בֹא רָ֑ע וַֽאֲיַחֲלָ֥ה לְ֝אֹ֗ור וַיָּ֥בֹא אֹֽפֶל׃

When I expected good, evil came; / And when I waited for light, darkness came.

When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.

My lyre has become mourning, / And my pipe, the voice of those who weep.
