וַתֵּ֣רֶא רָחֵ֗ל כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָֽלְדָה֙ לְיַעֲקֹ֔ב וַתְּקַנֵּ֥א רָחֵ֖ל בַּאֲחֹתָ֑הּ וַתֹּ֤אמֶר אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹב֙ הָֽבָה־לִּ֣י בָנִ֔יםוְאִם־אַ֖יִן מֵתָ֥ה אָנֹֽכִי׃

R

And when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister and said to Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

And when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

And Rachel seeth that she hath not borne to Jacob, and Rachel is envious of her sister, and saith unto Jacob, 'Give me sons, and if there is none -- I die.'

I

When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, "Give me children, or I'll die!"

雅各向拉结生气，说，叫你不怀胎的是神，我岂能代替祂作主呢？

雅各向拉结生气，说：“叫你不生育的是神，我岂能代替他作主呢？”

雅各的怒气就向拉结发作，说：“我哪能代替上帝做主呢？是他不使你有腹中的果子呀。”

雅各向拉结生气，说：“我岂能代替…神呢？”那使妳子宫不出子嗣的

וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֥ף יַעֲקֹ֖ב בְּרָחֵ֑ל וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הֲתַ֤חַת אֱלֹהִים֙ אָנֹ֔כִי אֲשֶׁר־מָנַ֥ע מִמֵּ֖ךְ פְּרִי־בָֽטֶן׃

R

And Jacob's anger burned against Rachel, and he said, Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?

And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

D

And Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, Am I in God's stead, who has withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?

Y

And Jacob's anger burneth against Rachel, and he saith, 'Am I in stead of God who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?'

I

Jacob became angry with her and said, "Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?"

拉结说，有我的使女辟拉在这里，你可以与她同房，使她生子抱在我膝上，我便因她也得孩子。

拉结说：“有我的使女辟拉在这里，你可以与她同房，使她生子在我膝下，我便因她也得孩子（“得孩子”原文作“被建立”）。”

辣黑耳回答说：“这里有我的婢女彼耳哈，你亲近她，叫她在我膝下生子，使我能由她得子。”

拉结说：“你看我的使女辟拉在这里；你进去找她，使她生子抱在我膝上，我的后裔也好由她建立起来。”

拉结说：“看哪，我的使女辟拉(在这里)，你与她同房，使她生子在我膝下，我便因她而得建立。”

וַתֹּ֕אמֶר הִנֵּ֛ה אֲמָתִ֥י בִלְהָ֖ה בֹּ֣א אֵלֶ֑יהָ וְתֵלֵד֙ עַל־בִּרְכַּ֔י וְאִבָּנֶ֥ה גַם־אָנֹכִ֖י מִמֶּֽנָּה׃

R

And she said, Here is my servant Bilhah; go in to her, that she may bear upon my knees and that I also may have children through her.

And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

D

And she said, Behold, there is my maid, Bilhah: go in to her, in order that she may bear on my knees, and I may also be built up by her.

Y

And she saith, 'Lo, my handmaid Bilhah, go in unto her, and she doth bear on my knees, and I am built up, even I, from her;'

I

Then she said, "Here is Bilhah, my maidservant. Sleep with her so that she can bear children for me and that through her I too can build a family."

And she gave him Bilhah her female servant as a wife, and Jacob went in to her.

And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

and she giveth to him Bilhah her maid-servant for a wife, and Jacob goeth in unto her;

וַתֹּ֤אמֶר רָחֵל֙ דָּנַ֣נִּי אֱלֹהִ֔ים וְגַם֙ שָׁמַ֣ע בְּקֹלִ֔י וַיִּתֶּן־לִ֖י בֵּ֑ן עַל־כֵּ֛ן קָרְאָ֥ה שְׁמֹ֖ו דָּֽן׃

R

And Rachel said, God has judged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son; therefore she called his name Dan.

And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.

And Rachel said, God has done me justice, and has also heard my voice, and given me a son; therefore she called his name Dan.

and Rachel saith, 'God hath decided for me, and also hath hearkened to my voice, and giveth to me a son;' therefore hath she called his name Dan.

I

Then Rachel said, "God has vindicated me; he has listened to my plea and given me a son." Because of this she named him Dan.

And Bilhah Rachel's female servant conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.

And Bilhah, Rachel's maid-servant, conceiveth again, and beareth a second son to Jacob,

拉结说，我在与神的角力中，与我姐姐角力，并且得了胜，于是给孩子起名叫拿弗他利。

拉结说：“我跟我姐姐角力，简直是天大的角力，而我竟得胜了”；于是她给孩子起名叫拿弗他利。

וַתֹּ֣אמֶר רָחֵ֗ל נַפְתּוּלֵ֨י אֱלֹהִ֧ים׀ נִפְתַּ֛לְתִּי עִם־אֲחֹתִ֖י גַּם־יָכֹ֑לְתִּי וַתִּקְרָ֥א שְׁמֹ֖ו נַפְתָּלִֽי׃

R

And Rachel said, In wrestling with God, I have wrestled with my sister and have prevailed; so she called his name Naphtali.

And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali.

And Rachel said, Wrestlings of God have I wrestled with my sister, and have prevailed; and she called his name Naphtali.

and Rachel saith, 'With wrestlings of God I have wrestled with my sister, yea, I have prevailed;' and she calleth his name Napthali.

I

Then Rachel said, "I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won." So she named him Naphtali.

R

Now when Leah saw that she ceased bearing, she took Zilpah her female servant and gave her to Jacob as a wife.

When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.

And when Leah saw that she had ceased to bear, she took Zilpah her maidservant and gave her to Jacob as wife.

And Leah seeth that she hath ceased from bearing, and she taketh Zilpah her maid-servant, and giveth her to Jacob for a wife;

I

When Leah saw that she had stopped having children, she took her maidservant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.

And Leah said, How fortunate! So she called his name Gad.

And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

And Leah said, Fortunately! and she called his name Gad.

Y

and Leah saith, 'A troop is coming;' and she calleth his name Gad.

I

Then Leah said, "What good fortune!" So she named him Gad.

וַתֹּ֣אמֶר לֵאָ֔ה בְּאָשְׁרִ֕י כִּ֥י אִשְּׁר֖וּנִי בָּנֹ֑ות וַתִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־שְׁמֹ֖ו אָשֵֽׁר׃

R

And Leah said, Happy am I! For the daughters will call me blessed; so she called his name Asher.

And Leah said, Happy am I, for the daughters will call me blessed: and she called his name Asher.

And Leah said, Happy am I; for the daughters will call me blessed! and she called his name Asher.

and Leah saith, 'Because of my happiness, for daughters have pronounced me happy;' and she calleth his name Asher.

I

Then Leah said, "How happy I am! The women will call me happy." So she named him Asher.

收割麦子的时候，流便出去，在田里寻见风茄，就拿来给他母亲利亚。拉结对利亚说，请你把你儿子的风茄给我一些。

和

割麦子的时候，流便往田里去寻见风茄，拿来给他母亲利亚。拉结对利亚说：“请你把你儿子的风茄给我些。”

新

到了收割麦子的时候，流本出去，在田间找到了一些风茄，就拿来给他母亲利亚。拉结对利亚说：“请你把你儿子的风茄分一些给我。”

思

到了割麦的时节，勒乌本出去，在田间寻得了一些曼陀罗，带回来给了他母亲肋啊。辣黑耳对肋阿说：“请你将你儿子得的曼陀罗给我一些。”

吕

割麦子的日子，如便出去，在田地里发现了些催爱果，就拿进来给他母亲利亚。拉结对利亚说：“把你儿子的催爱果一点儿给我吧。”

直

小麦收割的时候，吕便去到田野找到风茄，就拿来给他母亲利亚。拉结对利亚说：“给我一些妳儿子的风茄。”

וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ רְאוּבֵ֜ן בִּימֵ֣י קְצִיר־חִטִּ֗ים וַיִּמְצָ֤א דֽוּדָאִים֙ בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה וַיָּבֵ֣א אֹתָ֔ם אֶל־לֵאָ֖ה אִמֹּ֑ו וַתֹּ֤אמֶררָחֵל֙ אֶל־לֵאָ֔ה תְּנִי־נָ֣א לִ֔י מִדּוּדָאֵ֖י בְּנֵֽךְ׃

R

And Reuben went out in the days of wheat harvest and found mandrakes in the field and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Please give me some of your son's mandrakes.

And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

And Reuben went out in the days of wheat-harvest, and found mandrakes in the fields; and he brought them to his mother Leah. And Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.

And Reuben goeth in the days of wheat-harvest, and findeth love-apples in the field, and bringeth them in unto Leah, his mother, and Rachel saith unto Leah, 'Give to me, I pray thee, of the love-apples of thy son.'

I

During wheat harvest, Reuben went out into the fields and found some mandrake plants, which he brought to his mother Leah. Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your son's mandrakes."

利亚说，你夺了我的丈夫还算小事么？你又要夺我儿子的风茄？拉结说，那么，为了交换你儿子的风茄，今夜他可以与你同寝。

和

利亚回答拉结：“你夺去了我的丈夫，还算小事吗？你还要夺去我儿子的风茄吗？”拉结说：“好吧，今夜就让他与你同睡，来交换你儿子的风茄。”

肋阿回答说：“你夺去了我的丈夫还不够；你还想夺去我儿的曼陀罗么？”辣黑耳说：“好吧！今夜就让他与你同睡，为交换你儿子的曼陀罗。”

吕

利亚对拉结说：“你夺取了我的丈夫、还算小事么？现在又要夺取我儿的催爱果么？”拉结说：“好吧，为了交换你儿子的催爱果，丈夫今夜可以和你同寝了。”

直

她对她说：“妳夺了我的丈夫还算小事，还要夺我儿子的风茄吗？”拉结说：“…今夜他可以与妳同寝。”为妳儿子的风茄，

וַתֹּ֣אמֶר לָ֗הּ הַמְעַט֙ קַחְתֵּ֣ךְ אֶת־אִישִׁ֔י וְלָקַ֕חַת גַּ֥ם אֶת־דּוּדָאֵ֖י בְּנִ֑י וַתֹּ֣אמֶר רָחֵ֗ל לָכֵן֙יִשְׁכַּ֤ב עִמָּךְ֙ הַלַּ֔יְלָה תַּ֖חַת דּוּדָאֵ֥י בְנֵֽךְ׃

R

And she said to her, Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? And would you take away my son's mandrakes also? So Rachel said, Then he may lie with you tonight in return for your son's mandrakes.

And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.

And she said to her, Is it [too] little that thou hast taken my husband, that thou wilt take my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to-night for thy son's mandrakes.

Y

And she saith to her, 'Is thy taking my husband a little thing, that thou hast taken also the love-apples of my son?' and Rachel saith, 'Therefore doth he lie with thee to-night, for thy son's love-apples.'

I

But she said to her, "Wasn't it enough that you took away my husband? Will you take my son's mandrakes too?" "Very well," Rachel said, "he can sleep with you tonight in return for your son's mandrakes."

到了晚上，雅各从田里回来，利亚出来迎接他，说，你要与我同寝，因为我实在是用我儿子的风茄把你雇下了。那一夜，雅各就与她同寝。

R

And Jacob came from the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him and said, You must come in to me, for I have surely hired you with my son's mandrakes. So he lay with her that night.

And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

And when Jacob came from the fields in the evening, Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in to me, for indeed I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

And Jacob cometh in from the field at evening; and Leah goeth to meet him, and saith, 'Unto me dost thou come in, for hiring I have hired thee with my son's love-apples;' and he lieth with her during that night.

So when Jacob came in from the fields that evening, Leah went out to meet him. "You must sleep with me," she said. "I have hired you with my son's mandrakes." So he slept with her that night.

For you had little before I came, and it has spread into a multitude, and Jehovah has blessed you wherever I turned. But now when shall I provide for my own house also?

For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

D

For it was little that thou hadst before me, and it is increased to a multitude, and Jehovah has blessed thee from the time I came; and now, when shall I also provide for my house?

Y

for it is little which thou hast had at my appearance, and it breaketh forth into a multitude, and Jehovah blesseth thee at my coming; and now, when do I make, I also, for mine own house?'

I

The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I have been. But now, when may I do something for my own household?"

拉班说，我当给你什么？雅各说，你什么也不必给我；只要你为我作这一件事，我便仍旧牧放看守你的羊群。

R

So my righteousness will testify for me later, when you come concerning my wages, by what is before you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the sheep, if found with me, will be counted stolen.

So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

And my righteousness shall answer for me hereafter, when thou comest about my hire, before thy face: all that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the lambs, let that be stolen with me.

and my righteousness hath answered for me in the day to come, when it cometh in for my hire before thy face; -- every one which is not speckled and spotted among my goats, and brown among my lambs -- it is stolen with me.'

I

And my honesty will testify for me in the future, whenever you check on the wages you have paid me. Any goat in my possession that is not speckled or spotted, or any lamb that is not dark-colored, will be considered stolen."

R

But on that day Laban removed the male goats that were streaked and spotted, and all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had white in it, and all the black ones among the sheep, and gave them into the care of his sons.

And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons.

And Jacob took rods of fresh poplar and almond and plane trees and peeled white stripes in them, exposing the white which was in the rods.

And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.

And Jacob took fresh rods of white poplar, almond-tree, and maple; and peeled off white stripes in them, uncovering the white which was on the rods.

And Jacob taketh to himself a rod of fresh poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut, and doth peel in them white peelings, making bare the white that is on the rods,

Jacob, however, took fresh-cut branches from poplar, almond and plane trees and made white stripes on them by peeling the bark and exposing the white inner wood of the branches.

And he set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, in the watering places where the flocks came to drink; and they bred when they came to drink.

And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.

Jacob set apart the young of the flock by themselves, but made the rest face the streaked and dark-colored animals that belonged to Laban. Thus he made separate flocks for himself and did not put them with Laban's animals.

And whenever the stronger of the flock were breeding, Jacob placed the rods before the eyes of the flock in the troughs so that they might breed among the rods;

And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.

And it came to pass whensoever the strong cattle were ardent, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the flock in the gutters, that they might become ardent among the rods;

And it hath come to pass whenever the strong ones of the flock conceive, that Jacob set the rods before the eyes of the flock in the gutters, to cause them to conceive by the rods,

Whenever the stronger females were in heat, Jacob would place the branches in the troughs in front of the animals so they would mate near the branches,

But when the flock was feebler, he did not put them in; so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

but when the sheep were feeble, he put [them] not in; so the feeble were Laban's, and the strong Jacob's.

Y

and when the flock is feeble, he doth not set them; and the feeble ones have been Laban's, and the strong ones Jacob's.

I

but if the animals were weak, he would not place them there. So the weak animals went to Laban and the strong ones to Jacob.

于是雅各极其发达，得了许多的羊群、仆人、婢女、骆驼和驴。

And the man increased very, very much, and had much cattle, and bondwomen, and bondmen, and camels, and asses.

And the man increaseth very exceedingly, and hath many flocks, and maid-servants, and men-servants, and camels, and asses.

In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous and came to own large flocks, and maidservants and menservants, and camels and donkeys.
