The Lord said to Moses,

要把一切头生的分别为圣归我：以色列中头胎的，无论是人是牲畜，都是我的。

“以色列中凡头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都是我的，要分别为圣归我。”

“在以色列人中，你要把所有头生的都分别为圣归我；无论是人或是牲畜，凡是头生的都是我的。”

“以色列子民中，无论是人是牲畜，凡是开胎首生的，都应祝圣于我，属于我。”

“要把一切头胎的分别为圣而归我：在以色列之中、凡头胎的、无论是人是牲口、都是我的。”

要把头生的分别为圣归我；以色列中凡头胎生的，无论是人是牲畜，他都是我的。

קַדֶּשׁ־לִ֨י כָל־בְּכֹ֜ור פֶּ֤טֶר כָּל־רֶ֨חֶם֙ בִּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בָּאָדָ֖ם וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה לִ֖י הֽוּא׃

Sanctify to Me all the firstborn: Whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast, it is Mine.

Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

Hallow unto me every firstborn, whatever breaketh open the womb among the children of Israel, of man and of cattle: it is mine.

'Sanctify to Me every first-born, opening any womb among the sons of Israel, among man and among beast; it is Mine.'

Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether man or animal.

摩西对百姓说，你们要记念从埃及为奴之家出来的这日，因为耶和华用大能的手，将你们从这地方领出来；有酵的物都不可吃。

摩西对百姓说：“你们要记念从埃及为奴之家出来的这日，因为耶和华用大能的手将你们从这地方领出来，有酵的饼都不可吃。

摩西对人民说：“你们要记念这一天，就是从埃及为奴之家出来的这一天，因为耶和华用大能的手把你们从这里领出来；所以有酵之物都不可以吃。

梅瑟向百姓说：“你们应当记念从埃及，从为奴之家出来的这一天，因为上主在这一天用强有力的手臂，从那里领出了你们，故此不可吃有酵的食物。

摩西对人民说：“你们要记念这一天，你们从埃及为奴之家出来的这一天，因为永恒主用他手的大权能、将你们从这里领出去；有酵之物都不可吃。

摩西对百姓说：“你们要记念…这日，你们从埃及为奴之家出来的．因为雅威用大能的手将你们从这里领出来。有酵的饼都不可吃。

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶל־הָעָ֗ם זָכֹ֞ור אֶת־הַיֹּ֤ום הַזֶּה֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְצָאתֶ֤ם מִמִּצְרַ֨יִם֙ מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִ֔ים כִּ֚יבְּחֹ֣זֶק יָ֔ד הֹוצִ֧יא יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִזֶּ֑ה וְלֹ֥א יֵאָכֵ֖ל חָמֵֽץ׃

And Moses said to the people, Remember this day on which you came out from Egypt, from the slave house, for by strength of hand Jehovah brought you out from this place; and nothing leavened shall be eaten.

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

And Moses said to the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for with a powerful hand hath Jehovah brought you out from this; and nothing leavened shall be eaten.

And Moses saith unto the people, 'Remember this day in which ye have gone out from Egypt, from the house of servants, for by strength of hand hath Jehovah brought you out from this, and any thing fermented is not eaten;

Then Moses said to the people, "Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast.

你们是在亚笔月间的这日出来的。

亚笔月间的这日是你们出来的日子。

你们是在亚笔月这一日出来的。

今天你们出来正在“阿彼布”月。

你们出去、是在亚笔月这一日出去的。

亚笔月间的这日是你们出来的日子。

הַיֹּ֖ום אַתֶּ֣ם יֹצְאִ֑ים בְּחֹ֖דֶשׁ הָאָבִֽיב׃

On this day in the month of Abib you are going out.

This day came ye out in the month Abib.

Ye come out to-day, in the month Abib.

To-day ye are going out, in the month of Abib.

Today, in the month of Abib, you are leaving.

将来耶和华领你进迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是祂向你的祖宗起誓要赐给你那流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这月间持守这事奉。

将来耶和华领你进迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你的祖宗起誓应许给你那流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这月间守这礼。

日后耶和华领你进到迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你的列祖起誓要赐给你的那流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这月守这敬拜之礼。

几时上主领你们进了客纳罕人、赫特人、阿摩黎人、希威人和耶步斯人的地方，就是他向你的祖先起誓应许给你那流奶流蜜之地，你应在这一月举行此礼：

将来永恒主领你进迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你祖宗起誓应许给你之地，流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这一个月奉行以下这事奉礼。

当雅威领你进迦南人、…之地，赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人．就是他向你的祖宗起誓应许给你．那流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这月间守这礼仪。

וְהָיָ֣ה כִֽי־יְבִֽיאֲךָ֣ יְהוָ֡ה אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ הַֽ֠כְּנַעֲנִי וְהַחִתִּ֨י וְהָאֱמֹרִ֜י וְהַחִוִּ֣י וְהַיְבוּסִ֗י אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִשְׁבַּ֤עלַאֲבֹתֶ֨יךָ֙ לָ֣תֶת לָ֔ךְ אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָ֑שׁ וְעָבַדְתָּ֛ אֶת־הָעֲבֹדָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַזֶּֽה׃

And when Jehovah brings you into the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, which He swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you shall observe this service in this month:

And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

And it shall be when Jehovah hath brought thee into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, which he swore to thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

'And it hath been, when Jehovah bringeth thee in unto the land of the Canaanite, and of the Hittite, and of the Amorite, and of the Hivite, and of the Jebusite, which He hath sworn to thy fathers to give to thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou hast done this service in this month.

When the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Hivites and Jebusites-the land he swore to your forefathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey-you are to observe this ceremony in this month:

你要吃无酵饼七日，到第七日要向耶和华守节。

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to Jehovah.

Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.

Seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread; and in the seventh day is a feast to Jehovah.

'Seven days thou dost eat unleavened things, and in the seventh day is a feast to Jehovah;

For seven days eat bread made without yeast and on the seventh day hold a festival to the Lord .

这七日之久，要吃无酵饼；在你那里不可见有酵的物，在你四境之内也不可见发酵物。

מַצֹּות֙ יֵֽאָכֵ֔ל אֵ֖ת שִׁבְעַ֣ת הַיָּמִ֑ים וְלֹֽא־יֵרָאֶ֨ה לְךָ֜ חָמֵ֗ץ וְלֹֽא־יֵרָאֶ֥ה לְךָ֛ שְׂאֹ֖ר בְּכָל־גְּבֻלֶֽךָ׃

Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days, and nothing leavened shall be seen with you, nor shall any leaven be seen with you in all your territory.

Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

Unleavened bread shall be eaten the seven days; and leavened bread shall not be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy borders.

unleavened things are eaten the seven days, and any thing fermented is not seen with thee; yea, leaven is not seen with thee in all thy border.

Eat unleavened bread during those seven days; nothing with yeast in it is to be seen among you, nor shall any yeast be seen anywhere within your borders.

当那日，你要告诉你的儿子说，这是因耶和华在我出埃及的时候为我所行的事。

当那日，你要告诉你的儿子说：‘这是因耶和华在我出埃及的时候为我所行的事。’

当那日，你要告诉你的儿子说：‘这是因雅威…为我所行的事。在我出埃及的时候

וְהִגַּדְתָּ֣ לְבִנְךָ֔ בַּיֹּ֥ום הַה֖וּא לֵאמֹ֑ר בַּעֲב֣וּר זֶ֗ה עָשָׂ֤ה יְהוָה֙ לִ֔י בְּצֵאתִ֖י מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃

And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, It is because of what Jehovah did for me when I came out of Egypt.

And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

And thou shalt inform thy son in that day, saying, It is because of what Jehovah did to me when I came out of Egypt.

'And thou hast declared to thy son in that day, saying, 'It is because of what Jehovah did to me, in my going out from Egypt,

On that day tell your son, 'I do this because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.'

这要在你手上作记号，在你额上作记念，使耶和华的律法常在你口中，因为耶和华曾用大能的手，将你从埃及领出来。

וְהָיָה֩ לְךָ֨ לְאֹ֜ות עַל־יָדְךָ֗ וּלְזִכָּרֹון֙ בֵּ֣ין עֵינֶ֔יךָ לְמַ֗עַן תִּהְיֶ֛ה תֹּורַ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה בְּפִ֑יךָ כִּ֚י בְּיָ֣ד חֲזָקָ֔ההֹוצִֽאֲךָ֥ יְהֹוָ֖ה מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃

And it shall be for a sign to you upon your hand and for a memorial between your eyes, that the law of Jehovah may be in your mouth; for with a mighty hand Jehovah brought you out of Egypt.

And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.

And it shall be for a sign to thee on thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the law of Jehovah may be in thy mouth; for with a powerful hand hath Jehovah brought thee out of Egypt.

and it hath been to thee for a sign on thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, so that the law of Jehovah is in thy mouth, for by a strong hand hath Jehovah brought thee out from Egypt;

This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that the law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.

所以你每年要按着所定的日期守这定例。

וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֛ אֶת־הַחֻקָּ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את לְמֹועֲדָ֑הּ מִיָּמִ֖ים יָמִֽימָה׃ ס

You shall therefore keep this statute at its appointed time from year to year.

Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

And thou shalt keep this ordinance at its set time from year to year.

and thou hast kept this statute at its appointed season from days to days.

You must keep this ordinance at the appointed time year after year.

将来，耶和华照祂向你和你祖宗所起的誓，将你领进迦南人之地，把那地赐给你，

“将来，耶和华照他向你和你祖宗所起的誓，将你领进迦南人之地，把这地赐给你。

“日后，耶和华照着他向你和你的列祖所起的誓，把你领进迦南人之地，把这地赐给你之后，

当上主照他起誓向你和你祖先所许的话，领你到了客纳罕人的地方，将那地给了你之后，

“将来永恒主照他向你和你祖宗所起的誓、将你领进迦南人之地，把这地赐给你，

“雅威要…将你领进迦南人之地，照祂向你和你祖宗所起的誓．把它(原文是阴性，指地)赐给你，

וְהָיָ֞ה כִּֽי־יְבִֽאֲךָ֤ יְהוָה֙ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר נִשְׁבַּ֥ע לְךָ֖ וְלַֽאֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ וּנְתָנָ֖הּ לָֽךְ׃

And when Jehovah brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as He swore to you and to your fathers, and gives it to you,

And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,

And it shall be when Jehovah hath brought thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he hath sworn to thee and to thy fathers, and hath given it thee,

'And it hath been, when Jehovah bringeth thee in unto the land of the Canaanite, as He hath sworn to thee and to thy fathers, and hath given it to thee,

After the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites and gives it to you, as he promised on oath to you and your forefathers,

那时你要将一切头胎的，并牲畜中头生的崽子，归给耶和华；公的都要属耶和华。

那时你要将一切头生的，并牲畜中头生的，归给耶和华；公的都要属耶和华。

你要把所有头生的奉献给耶和华，也要把你一切牲畜中所有头生的小牲口奉献给耶和华；公的都属耶和华。

你应将一切开胎首生者归于上主；你牲畜中，凡开胎首生的牲畜，亦应归于上主。

那时候、你要使一切头胎的人和你所有一切头胎的小牲口、都走过来、归于永恒主：阳性的都要属于永恒主。

你要将一切头胎生的，…归给雅威；你的牲畜中头生的，公的都要属雅威。

וְהַעֲבַרְתָּ֥ כָל־פֶּֽטֶר־רֶ֖חֶם לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וְכָל־פֶּ֣טֶר׀ שֶׁ֣גֶר בְּהֵמָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִהְיֶ֥ה לְךָ֛ הַזְּכָרִ֖ים לַיהוָֽה׃

You shall set apart to Jehovah everything that opens the womb and the first offspring of every beast which is yours; the males shall be Jehovah's.

That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD'S.

that thou shalt offer unto Jehovah all that breaketh open the womb, and every firstling that cometh of cattle which is thine: the males [shall be] Jehovah's.

that thou hast caused every one opening a womb to pass over to Jehovah, and every firstling -- the increase of beasts which thou hast: the males are Jehovah's.

you are to give over to the Lord the first offspring of every womb. All the firstborn males of your livestock belong to the Lord .

凡头生的驴，你要用羊羔代赎；若不代赎，就要打折它的颈项。凡你儿子中头生的都要赎出来。

凡头生的驴，你要用羊羔代赎，若不代赎，就要打折它的颈项。凡你儿子中头生的都要赎出来。

凡是头生的驴，你要用羊羔代赎；如果你不代赎，就要打断它的颈项；凡是你儿子中头生的人，你都要代赎。

凡首生的驴，应用羊赎回；你若不赎回，应打断它的颈项。你的子孙中，凡是长子，你应赎回。

凡头胎的驴、你要用小羊去替赎；若不替赎，就要打折它的脖子。凡你儿子当中头胎的，你都要赎出来。

凡头生的驴，你要用羊羔代赎；你若不代赎，就要打折它的颈项。凡你儿子中头生的都要赎出来。

וְכָל־פֶּ֤טֶר חֲמֹר֙ תִּפְדֶּ֣ה בְשֶׂ֔ה וְאִם־לֹ֥א תִפְדֶּ֖ה וַעֲרַפְתֹּ֑ו וְכֹ֨ל בְּכֹ֥ור אָדָ֛ם בְּבָנֶ֖יךָ תִּפְדֶּֽה׃

And every first offspring of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you do not redeem it, you shall break its neck. And every firstborn male among your sons you shall redeem.

And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

And every firstling of an ass shalt thou ransom with a lamb; and if thou do not ransom it, thou shalt break its neck; and every firstborn of a man among thy sons shalt thou ransom.

'And every firstling of an ass thou dost ransom with a lamb, and if thou dost not ransom it, then thou hast beheaded it: and every first-born of man among thy sons thou dost ransom.

Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem every firstborn among your sons.

日后，你的儿子问你说，这是什么意思？你就说，耶和华用大能的手将我们从埃及为奴之家领出来；

日后，你的儿子问你说：‘这是什么意思？’你就说：‘耶和华用大能的手将我们从埃及为奴之家领出来。

日后你的儿子若是问你们：‘这是什么意思？’你就要回答他：‘耶和华曾经用大能的手把我们从埃及为奴之家领出来。

将来若你的儿子问你：这是什么意思？你要回答他说：这是因为上主用强有力的手臂领我们出离了埃及，出离了为奴之家。

日后你的儿子问你说：‘这是什么意思？’，你要对说：‘是永恒主用他手的权能将我们从埃及、从为奴之家领出来。

日后，你的儿子问你说：‘这是什么意思？’你就说：‘雅威用大能的手将我们…领出来。从埃及为奴之家

וְהָיָ֞ה כִּֽי־יִשְׁאָלְךָ֥ בִנְךָ֛ מָחָ֖ר לֵאמֹ֣ר מַה־זֹּ֑את וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֔יו בְּחֹ֣זֶק יָ֗ד הֹוצִיאָ֧נוּ יְהוָ֛המִמִּצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים׃

And when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? you shall say to him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the slave house.

And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say to him, With a powerful hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

'And it hath been, when thy son asketh thee hereafter, saying, What is this? that thou hast said unto him, By strength of hand hath Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from a house of servants;

In days to come, when your son asks you, 'What does this mean?' say to him, 'With a mighty hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

那时法老心里刚硬，不让我们去，耶和华就把埃及地所有头生的，无论是人是牲畜都杀了。因此，我把一切头胎的公牲畜献给耶和华为祭，但将头生的儿子都赎出来。

那时法老几乎不容我们去，耶和华就把埃及地所有头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都杀了，因此我把一切头生的公牲畜献给耶和华为祭，但将头生的儿子都赎出来。’

那时法老心里刚硬，不让我们离开，耶和华就把埃及地所有头生的，无论是人或是牲畜都杀了；所以，我把所有头生的公牲口都献给耶和华为祭；但我所有头生的儿子，却都要代赎回来。

原来法郎顽固，不释放我们，上主就把埃及国一切首生者，不拘是人或牲畜的首生者都杀了，为此我把一切首开母胎的雄性都祭献于上主；但首生的男孩，我却要赎回。

那时法老硬不要让我们走，永恒主就把埃及地所有头胎的，无论是头胎的人、或是头胎的牲口、都杀了，因此，我把一切头胎的公牲畜祭献给永恒主，而将我一切头胎的儿子都赎出来。

那时法老固执，不肯放我们走，雅威就把埃及地所有头生的，…都杀了。从人的长子到牲畜中头生的，因此，我把…献给雅威为祭，一切头胎生的，公的．但我把我所有头生的儿子赎出来。

וַיְהִ֗י כִּֽי־הִקְשָׁ֣ה פַרְעֹה֮ לְשַׁלְּחֵנוּ֒ וַיַּהֲרֹ֨ג יְהֹוָ֤ה כָּל־בְּכֹור֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם מִבְּכֹ֥ר אָדָ֖םוְעַד־בְּכֹ֣ור בְּהֵמָ֑ה עַל־כֵּן֩ אֲנִ֨י זֹבֵ֜חַ לַֽיהוָ֗ה כָּל־פֶּ֤טֶר רֶ֨חֶם֙ הַזְּכָרִ֔ים וְכָל־בְּכֹ֥ור בָּנַ֖י אֶפְדֶּֽה׃

And when Pharaoh hardened himself against letting us go, Jehovah slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I am one who sacrifices to Jehovah every male that opens the womb; and all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the Lord killed every firstborn in Egypt, both man and animal. This is why I sacrifice to the Lord the first male offspring of every womb and redeem each of my firstborn sons.'

וְהָיָ֤ה לְאֹות֙ עַל־יָ֣דְכָ֔ה וּלְטֹוטָפֹ֖ת בֵּ֣ין עֵינֶ֑יךָ כִּ֚י בְּחֹ֣זֶק יָ֔ד הֹוצִיאָ֥נוּ יְהוָ֖ה מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ ס

So it will be as a sign upon your hand and as frontlets between your eyes, for by strength of hand Jehovah brought us out of Egypt.

And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.

法郎放走百姓以后，天主没有领他们走培肋舍特地的近路，因为天主想：“怕百姓遇见战争而后悔，再回到埃及。”

法老让人民走的时候，非利士地的路虽近，上帝却不领导他们从那里走，因为上帝说：“恐怕人民看见战争而后悔，就回埃及去。”

וַיְהִ֗י בְּשַׁלַּ֣ח פַּרְעֹה֮ אֶת־הָעָם֒ וְלֹא־נָחָ֣ם אֱלֹהִ֗ים דֶּ֚רֶךְ אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים כִּ֥י קָרֹ֖וב ה֑וּא כִּ֣י׀אָמַ֣ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים פֶּֽן־יִנָּחֵ֥ם הָעָ֛ם בִּרְאֹתָ֥ם מִלְחָמָ֖ה וְשָׁ֥בוּ מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃

Now when Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Perhaps the people will change their minds when they see war and will return to Egypt.

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, "If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt."

וַיַּסֵּ֨ב אֱלֹהִ֧ים׀ אֶת־הָעָ֛ם דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר יַם־ס֑וּף וַחֲמֻשִׁ֛ים עָל֥וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃

Thus God led the people around by the way of the wilderness to the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up arrayed for battle out of the land of Egypt.

So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt armed for battle.

And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for Joseph had made the children of Israel solemnly swear, saying, God will surely visit you, and you shall bring my bones up from here with you.

And Jehovah went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them on the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might go by day and by night.

Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night departed from before the people.
