וַֽתְּפַלְּטֵ֔נִי מֵרִיבֵ֖י עַמִּ֑י תִּשְׁמְרֵ֨נִי֙ לְרֹ֣אשׁ גֹּויִ֔ם עַ֥ם לֹא־יָדַ֖עְתִּי יַעַבְדֻֽנִי׃

And You rescued me from the strivings of my people; / You have kept me as the head of the nations; / A people whom I have not known serves me.

Foreigners come cringing to me; / At the mere hearing of a report, they obey me;

Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.

Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me, At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me.

מִגְדִיל יְשׁוּעֹ֣ות מַלְכֹּ֑ו וְעֹֽשֶׂה־חֶ֧סֶד לִמְשִׁיחֹ֛ו לְדָוִ֥ד וּלְזַרְעֹ֖ו עַד־עֹולָֽם׃ פ
R
It is He who magnifies salvation to His king / And executes lovingkindness to His anointed, / To David and to his seed forever.

He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

[It is he] who giveth great deliverances to his king, And sheweth loving-kindness to his anointed, To David, and to his seed for evermore.
