由大河直至培肋舍特人地和埃及边界诸王国，都在撒罗满统治之下；撒罗满一生岁月中，这些王国都向他进贡，表示臣服。

Now Hiram the king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon when he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always loved David.

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

R
You know about David my father that he was not able to build a house for the name of Jehovah his God because of the warfare that his enemies surrounded him with, until Jehovah put them under the soles of his feet.

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

'Thou hast known David my father, that he hath not been able to build a house to the name of Jehovah his God, because of the wars that have been round about him, till Jehovah's putting them under the soles of his feet.
I
You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the Lord his God until the Lord put his enemies under his feet.

But now Jehovah my God has given me rest all around; there is no adversary or evil occurrence.

看哪，我有意为耶和华我神的名建殿，是照耶和华对我父亲大卫所说的，说，你的儿子，就是我所要设立，接续你坐在你位上的，他必为我的名建殿。

我定意要为耶和华我神的名建殿，是照耶和华应许我父亲大卫的话说：‘我必使你儿子接续你坐你的位，他必为我的名建殿。’

撒罗满一生岁月中，从丹到贝尔舍巴的犹大和以色列人，都各安居在自己的葡萄树和无花果树下。

我心里就要说为永恒主我的上帝的名建殿，照永恒主对我父亲大卫所说过的话，说：‘你那儿子、我所要设立来接替你坐你位上的、是他才要为我的名来建殿。’

וַיֵּשֶׁב֩ יְהוּדָ֨ה וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל לָבֶ֗טַח אִ֣ישׁ תַּ֤חַת גַּפְנֹו֙ וְתַ֣חַת תְּאֵֽנָתֹ֔ו מִדָּ֖ן וְעַד־בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥ישְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ ס
R
And now I intend to build a house for the name of Jehovah my God according to what Jehovah spoke to David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will put on your throne in your place, he will build the house for My name.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

And behold, I purpose to build a house unto the name of Jehovah my God, as Jehovah spoke to David my father saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy stead, he shall build a house unto my name.

and lo, I am saying to build a house to the name of Jehovah my God, as Jehovah spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son whom I appoint in thy stead on thy throne, he doth build the house for My name.

I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord told my father David, when he said, 'Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.'

所以求你吩咐人从利巴嫩为我砍伐香柏木，我的仆人必与你的仆人一同作工，我必照你所说定的，把你仆人的工价给你；因为你知道，在我们中间没有人像西顿人那样善于砍伐树木。

撒罗满有四千厩套车的马，并有一万二千匹坐骑。

וַיְהִ֣י לִשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים אֶ֛לֶף אֻרְוֹ֥ת סוּסִ֖ים לְמֶרְכָּבֹ֑ו וּשְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֥ר אֶ֖לֶף פָּרָשִֽׁים׃
R
Now therefore command that they cut for me cedars from Lebanon. And my servants will be with your servants, and I will give you payment for your servants, according to whatever you say; for you know that among us there is no one who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.

Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

And now command that they hew me cedar-trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants; and I will give thee hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt say; for thou knowest that there is not among us any that are experienced in cutting timber like to the Zidonians.

'And now, command, and they cut down for me cedars out of Lebanon, and my servants are with thy servants, and the hire of thy servants I give to thee according to all that thou sayest, for thou hast known that there is not among us a man acquainted with cutting wood, like the Sidonians.'
I
So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians.

希兰听见所罗门的话，就甚欢喜，说，今日耶和华当受颂赞；祂赐给大卫一个有智慧的儿子，治理这众多的民。
和
希兰听见所罗门的话，就甚喜悦，说：“今日应当称颂耶和华，因他赐给大卫一个有智慧的儿子，治理这众多的民。”

希兰听见了所罗门的话，就十分欢喜，说：“今天耶和华是应当称颂的，因为他赐给了大卫一个有智慧的儿子治理这么众多的人民。”

那些太守每人各按自己的月份，供应撒罗满王和所有赴撒罗满王宴席的人，而一无所缺。
吕
希兰听了所罗门的话，就非常高兴，说：“今日永恒主正应当受祝颂，因为他将一个有智慧的儿子赐给大卫、来管理这许多的人民。”

וְכִלְכְּלוּ֩ הַנִּצָּבִ֨ים הָאֵ֜לֶּה אֶת־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה וְאֵ֧ת כָּל־הַקָּרֵ֛ב אֶל־שֻׁלְחַ֥ן הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה אִ֣ישׁחָדְשֹׁ֑ו לֹ֥א יְעַדְּר֖וּ דָּבָֽר׃

And when Hiram heard Solomon's words, he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be Jehovah this day, who has given David a wise son over this great people.

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

And it cometh to pass at Hiram's hearing the words of Solomon, that he rejoiceth exceedingly, and saith, 'Blessed is Jehovah to-day, who hath given to David a wise son over this numerous people.'

When Hiram heard Solomon's message, he was greatly pleased and said, "Praise be to the Lord today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation."

希兰打发人去见所罗门，说，你差遣人向我所提的事，我听见了；关于香柏木和松木，凡你所愿的我都必成全。
和
希兰打发人去见所罗门，说：“你差遣人向我所提的那事，我都听见了。论到香柏木和松木，我必照你的心愿而行。

于是希兰派遣人去见所罗门，说：“你派人来向我所传的消息，我都听到了。关于香柏木和松木的事，你心所愿的，我都照办。

每人各按所受的命令，将饲养战马及骏马的大麦和草料，送到所指定的地方。

希兰打发人去见所罗门，说：“你差遣人向我所提的那事、我都听见了；关于香柏木和松木的事、凡我所心愿的、我都要照办。

וְהַשְּׂעֹרִ֣ים וְהַתֶּ֔בֶן לַסּוּסִ֖ים וְלָרָ֑כֶשׁ יָבִ֗אוּ אֶל־הַמָּקֹום֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִֽהְיֶה־שָּׁ֔ם אִ֖ישׁ כְּמִשְׁפָּטֹֽו׃ ס
R
And Hiram sent word to Solomon, saying, I have heard the message which you have sent me. I will do all your desire concerning cedar timber and cypress timber.

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard the things which thou sentest to me for: I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of cypress.

And Hiram sendeth unto Solomon, saying, I have heard that which thou hast sent unto me, I do all thy desire concerning cedar-wood, and fir-wood,

So Hiram sent word to Solomon: "I have received the message you sent me and will do all you want in providing the cedar and pine logs.

我的仆人必将木料从利巴嫩运下海里；我把这些木料扎成筏子，浮海运到你所指定我的地方，在那里拆开，你就可以收取。你也要成全我所愿的，将食物给我的家。

我的仆人要把这些木材从黎巴嫩运下海中；我会把木材扎成木筏，从海上运到你指定我的地方去。我在那里把木材拆开，你就可以运走。你也要成全我的心愿，用粮食供应我家。”

天主赐给了撒罗满绝大的智慧和聪明，心胸宽大，有如海边的沙滩。

我的仆人要从利巴嫩将这木料运下海里；我要把木料扎成筏子，由海上运到你叫我送到的地方，在那里拆开，你就可以收起来；你也须要成全我的心愿，将食物给我的家。”

וַיִּתֵּן֩ אֱלֹהִ֨ים חָכְמָ֧ה לִשְׁלֹמֹ֛ה וּתְבוּנָ֖ה הַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וְרֹ֣חַב לֵ֔ב כַּחֹ֕ול אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיָּֽם׃
R
My servants will bring them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you direct me; and I will break them apart there, and you can carry them off. And you can fulfill my desire by giving food to my household.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

My men will haul them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate them and you can take them away. And you are to grant my wish by providing food for my royal household."

So Hiram gave Solomon cedar timber and cypress timber, all that he desired.

And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat as food for his household and twenty cors of the finest oil; this did Solomon give to Hiram year by year.

And Jehovah gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.

And King Solomon levied forced labor out of all Israel, and the forced labor amounted to thirty thousand men.
