And keep the charge of Jehovah your God by walking in His ways, by keeping His statutes, His commandments, and His ordinances and His testimonies as they are written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn;

好使耶和华坚立祂所说关于我的话说，你的子孙若谨慎自己所行的道路，全心全魂、诚诚实实地行在我面前，就不断有人坐以色列的国位。

耶和华必成就向我所应许的话说：‘你的子孙若谨慎自己的行为，尽心尽意、诚诚实实地行在我面前，就不断人坐以色列的国位。’

这样，耶和华必坚立他所说有关我的话，说：‘如果你的子孙谨慎自己所行的，一心一意、诚诚实实行在我面前，就不断有人坐以色列的王位了。’

上主也必履行他关于我所说的话，说：如果你的子孙固守他们的道路，真能全心全意在我面前行走，那么，你的后代就决不缺坐上以色列宝座的人。

这样、永恒主就必坚立他的话、就是他所应许关于我的话、说：‘你的子孙若谨慎他们所行的路，全心全意忠诚诚地行于我面前，那么、你的子孙就不断有人坐以色列的王位了。’

好让雅威成就祂向我所说的话．说：‘你的子孙若谨慎自己的行为，…行在我面前，用诚实、用全心和全意．说，你就不断有人在以色列的国位上。’

That Jehovah may establish His word which He spoke concerning me, saying, If your children take heed to their way by walking before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail — He said — to be a man upon the throne of Israel for you.

Furthermore you know what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, by that which he did to the two captains of the armies of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner and to Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew; and he shed the blood of war in peace and put the blood of war upon his girdle around his loins and upon his sandals that are on his feet.

'And also, thou hast known that which he did to me -- Joab son of Zeruiah -- that which he did to two heads of the hosts of Israel, to Abner son of Ner, and to Amasa son of Jether -- that he slayeth them, and maketh the blood of war in peace, and putteth the blood of war in his girdle, that is on his loins, and in his sandals that are on his feet;
I
Now you yourself know what Joab son of Zeruiah did to me-what he did to the two commanders of Israel's armies, Abner son of Ner and Amasa son of Jether. He killed them, shedding their blood in peacetime as if in battle, and with that blood stained the belt around his waist and the sandals on his feet.

所以你要照你的智慧行，不让他白头安然下阴间。

Do therefore according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray-haired head go down into Sheol in peace.

And show mercy to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be among those who eat at your table; for so they drew near to me when I fled from Absalom your brother.

And now there is with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite of Bahurim, who cursed me with a terrible curse on the day I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by Jehovah, saying, I shall not kill you with the sword.

And, behold, thou hast with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword.

And remember, you have with you Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite from Bahurim, who called down bitter curses on me the day I went to Mahanaim. When he came down to meet me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the Lord : 'I will not put you to death by the sword.'

וְעַתָּה֙ אַל־תְּנַקֵּ֔הוּ כִּ֛י אִ֥ישׁ חָכָ֖ם אָ֑תָּה וְיָֽדַעְתָּ֙ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּֽעֲשֶׂה־לֹּ֔ו וְהֹורַדְתָּ֧ אֶת־שֵׂיבָתֹ֛ובְּדָ֖ם שְׁאֹֽול׃

Now therefore do not hold him guiltless; for you are a wise man, and you will know what to do to him. And you shall bring his gray-haired head down into Sheol with blood.

And he said, You know that the kingdom was mine and that all Israel looked to me to reign; but the kingdom has turned and has become my brother's, for it was of Jehovah to be his.

And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother's: for it was his from the LORD.

As you know, he said, "the kingdom was mine. All Israel looked to me as their king. But things changed, and the kingdom has gone to my brother; for it has come to him from the Lord .

And he said, Please tell Solomon the king — for he will not refuse you — to give me Abishag the Shunammite as my wife.

So Bath-sheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her and bowed himself before her; and he sat on his throne and had a throne set for the king's mother, and she sat at his right hand.

所罗门王对他母亲说：“为何单替他求书念的女子亚比煞呢？也可以为他求国吧！他是我的哥哥，他有祭司亚比亚他和洗鲁雅的儿子约押为辅佐。”

所罗门王回答他母亲，说：“你为什么要为亚多尼雅求书念的女子亚比煞呢？你也可以为他求这个国位，因为他是我的哥哥，又有亚比亚他祭司和洗鲁雅的儿子约押拥护他。”

撒罗满回答母亲说：“你为什么为阿多尼雅要求叔能的女子阿彼沙格呢？你为他要求王国吧！因为他是我的哥哥，何况厄贝雅塔尔司祭和责鲁雅的儿子约阿布又都拥护他。”

And King Solomon answered and said to his mother, And why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also, since he is my older brother, indeed for him and for Abiathar the priest and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.

Then King Solomon swore by Jehovah saying, God do so to me, and even more, if Adonijah has not spoken this word against his own life.

Then King Solomon swore by the Lord : "May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if Adonijah does not pay with his life for this request!

耶和华坚立我，使我坐在我父亲大卫的位上，并照着祂所应许的，为我建立家室；现在我指着永活的耶和华起誓，亚多尼雅今日必被处死。

Now therefore as Jehovah lives, who has established me and seated me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house as He has promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death today.

Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

So King Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he struck him down so that he died.

So King Solomon gave orders to Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he struck down Adonijah and he died.

And to Abiathar the priest, the king said, Go to Anathoth, to your own fields, for you are worthy of death; but I will not kill you at this time, for you bore the Ark of the Lord Jehovah before David my father and you suffered affliction in all that my father suffered.

And when it was told King Solomon that Joab had fled into the Tent of Jehovah and that he was just then beside the altar, Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, Go and strike him down.

And the king said to him, Do as he has spoken, and strike him down and bury him, that you may remove the blood which Joab has shed without cause from me and from my father's house.

And Jehovah will return his blood upon his head because he struck down two men more righteous and better than himself and slew them with the sword, though my father David did not know of it, that is, Abner the son of Ner, the captain of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, the captain of the army of Judah.

The Lord will repay him for the blood he shed, because without the knowledge of my father David he attacked two men and killed them with the sword. Both of them-Abner son of Ner, commander of Israel's army, and Amasa son of Jether, commander of Judah's army-were better men and more upright than he.

So their blood shall return upon Joab's head and upon his seed's head forever, but to David and to his seed and to his house and to his throne there shall be peace forever from Jehovah.

So the king sent word and called for Shimei; and he said to him, Did I not make you swear by Jehovah and solemnly warn you, saying, On the day that you go forth and travel to any place whatever, know for certain that you shall surely die? And you said to me, This word that I have heard is good.

the king summoned Shimei and said to him, "Did I not make you swear by the Lord and warn you, 'On the day you leave to go anywhere else, you can be sure you will die'? At that time you said to me, 'What you say is good. I will obey.'

וּמַדּ֕וּעַ לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔רְתָּ אֵ֖ת שְׁבֻעַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְאֶת־הַמִּצְוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּ֥יתִי עָלֶֽיךָ׃
R
Why then have you not kept the oath of Jehovah and the commandment that I charged you with?
K
Why then hast thou not kept the oath of the LORD, and the commandment that I have charged thee with?
D
Why then hast thou not kept the oath of Jehovah, and the commandment that I charged thee with?
Y
and wherefore hast thou not kept the oath of Jehovah, and the charge that I charged upon thee?'

Why then did you not keep your oath to the Lord and obey the command I gave you?"

王又对示每说，你向我父亲大卫所行的一切恶事，你自己心里也知道，耶和华必把你的恶报应在你自己头上；

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶל־שִׁמְעִ֗י אַתָּ֤ה יָדַ֨עְתָּ֙ אֵ֣ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יָדַע֙ לְבָ֣בְךָ֔ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתָלְדָוִ֣ד אָבִ֑י וְהֵשִׁ֧יב יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־רָעָתְךָ֖ בְּרֹאשֶֽׁךָ׃

And the king said to Shimei, You yourself know all the evil, which your heart is conscious of, that you did to David my father; and Jehovah will return your evil upon your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thine heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore the LORD shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head;

And the king saith unto Shimei, 'Thou hast known all the evil that thy heart hath known, which thou didest to David my father, and Jehovah hath turned back thine evil on thy head,

The king also said to Shimei, "You know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the Lord will repay you for your wrongdoing.

וְהַמֶּ֥לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה בָּר֑וּךְ וְכִסֵּ֣א דָוִ֗ד יִהְיֶ֥ה נָכֹ֛ון לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עַד־עֹולָֽם׃
R
But King Solomon will be blessed, and the throne of David will be established before Jehovah forever.

So the king gave commands to Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck him down so that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.
