And there was a great cry of the people and their wives against their brothers the Jews,

有的说,我们和儿女人口众多,要去得粮食吃饱活命;

有些人说:“我们和儿女人口众多,给我们五谷糊口,可以存活。”

有人喊说:“我们应以我们的儿女作质,换取食粮,吃饭生活。”

有的说:“我们已拿我们的儿女为质当(‘拿为’‘质当’一词传统作‘众多’。与下节‘典’字同字)去得五谷吃、来度活了。”

有的说:“我们的儿子和我们的女儿和我们(人数)众多,我们要去得五谷来吃(才能)存活下去。”
原 
וְיֵשׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֹמְרִ֔ים בָּנֵ֥ינוּ וּבְנֹתֵ֖ינוּ אֲנַ֣חְנוּ רַבִּ֑ים וְנִקְחָ֥ה דָגָ֖ן וְנֹאכְלָ֥ה וְנִחְיֶֽה׃
R  
For there were some who said, With our sons and our daughters we are many; therefore we must get grain that we may eat and live.

For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.

And there were that said, We, our sons and our daughters, are many, and we must procure corn that we may eat and live.

yea, there are who are saying, 'Our sons, and our daughters, we -- are many, and we receive corn, and eat, and live.'

Some were saying, "We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive, we must get grain."

有的说,我们典了田地、葡萄园、房屋,要在饥荒中得粮食;

有些人说:“我们抵押了自己的田地、葡萄园和房屋,为要在饥荒中买到五谷。”

另有人喊说:“我们必须典当我们的田地、葡萄园和房屋,为在饥荒之中获得食粮。”

有的说:“我们已典了我们的田地、葡萄园和房屋、去在这饥荒中取得五谷了。”;

וְיֵשׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֹמְרִ֔ים שְׂדֹתֵ֛ינוּ וּכְרָמֵ֥ינוּ וּבָתֵּ֖ינוּ אֲנַ֣חְנוּ עֹרְבִ֑ים וְנִקְחָ֥ה דָגָ֖ן בָּרָעָֽב׃
R  
And there were some who said, We have pledged our fields and our vineyards and our houses that we might get grain in this famine.

Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.

And there were that said, We have had to pledge our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, that we might procure corn in the dearth.

And there are who are saying, 'Our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, we are pledging, and we receive corn for the famine.'

Others were saying, "We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine."

有的说,我们已经用田地、葡萄园作抵押,借了钱给王纳税。

有些人说:“我们为了要借钱向王纳税,只好抵押了我们的田地和葡萄园。

还有人喊说:“我们应抵押我们的田地和葡萄园,去借钱给王纳税。

有的说:“我们已把我们的田地和葡萄园作抵押去借银钱来交王的贡物税了。

有的说:“我们以自己的田地和自己的葡萄园借钱给王纳贡。

וְיֵשׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֹמְרִ֔ים לָוִ֥ינוּ כֶ֖סֶף לְמִדַּ֣ת הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ שְׂדֹתֵ֖ינוּ וּכְרָמֵֽינוּ׃
R  
And there were some who said, We have borrowed money against our fields and our vineyards for the king's tribute.

There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.

And there were that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute upon our fields and vineyards;

And there are who are saying, 'We have borrowed money for the tribute of the king, on our fields, and our vineyards;

Still others were saying, "We have had to borrow money to pay the king's tax on our fields and vineyards.
尼5:5

恢 
其实我们的肉身与我们弟兄的肉身一样,我们的儿女与他们的儿女一般;看哪,我们将要使儿女作人的仆婢。我们的女儿已有为婢的;我们无力拯救,因为我们的田地、葡萄园,已经归了别人。
和 
我们的身体与我们弟兄的身体一样;我们的儿女与他们的儿女一般。现在我们将要使儿女作人的仆婢,我们的女儿已有为婢的。我们并无力拯救,因为我们的田地、葡萄园已经归了别人。”
新 
虽然我们的身体与我们同胞的身体一样,我们的儿女与他们的儿女也相同,可是我们却要强迫自己的儿女去作仆婢,而且我们的女儿有些已经作了奴婢,我们却无能为力,因为我们的田地和葡萄园已经属于别人了。”
思 
然而我们的肉体与我们同胞的肉体一样,我们的孩子与他们的孩子也相同,但我们必须叫我们的儿女去作奴婢,有些女儿已做了奴婢;我们现下一无所能,因为我们的田地和葡萄园,已属于别人了。”
吕 
其实我们的骨肉就等于我们族弟兄的骨肉,我们的儿女就等于他们的儿女;然而你看,我们竟在强迫着自己的儿女去做奴婢呢;我们的女儿已有为婢的;而我们的女儿已有被强迫了的,我们的手却无能为力,因为我们的田地和葡萄园已属于别人了。”

现在,我们的血肉与我们弟兄的血肉一样,我们的儿子与他们的儿子也一样,看哪,我们却要迫使.自己的儿子和自己的女儿作奴隶;我们的女儿已有被迫(为婢)的,我们的手却没有能力,我们的田地、我们的葡萄园已经归了别人。”

וְעַתָּ֗ה כִּבְשַׂ֤ר אַחֵ֨ינוּ֙ בְּשָׂרֵ֔נוּ כִּבְנֵיהֶ֖ם בָּנֵ֑ינוּ וְהִנֵּ֣ה אֲנַ֣חְנוּ כֹ֠בְשִׁים אֶת־בָּנֵ֨ינוּ וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵ֜ינוּלַעֲבָדִ֗ים וְיֵ֨שׁ מִבְּנֹתֵ֤ינוּ נִכְבָּשֹׁות֙ וְאֵ֣ין לְאֵ֣ל יָדֵ֔נוּ וּשְׂדֹתֵ֥ינוּ וּכְרָמֵ֖ינוּ לַאֲחֵרִֽים׃
R  
Yet now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children; and now we are bringing our sons and daughters into bondage as slaves. And some of our daughters have already been brought into bondage; and it is not in our power to deliver them, for our fields and vineyards belong to others.

Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.

Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our countrymen and though our sons are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others."

And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

And it is very displeasing to me when I have heard their cry and these words,

我心里筹划了,就斥责贵胄和官长,说,你们各人竟向自己的弟兄索取利息!于是我安排大会攻击他们。

我心里筹划,就斥责贵胄和官长说:“你们各人向弟兄取利!”于是我招聚大会攻击他们。

我心中筹算一番以后,就谴责贵族和官长,对他们说:“你们各人向自己的同胞贷款,竟然索取高利!”于是我召开大会攻击他们。

我考虑之后,遂谴责那些权贵和长官,向他们说:“你们每人竟向自己的同胞索取重利。”为谴责他们,我召集了大会,

我心里有了主张之后,就谴责显贵的人和官长,说:“你们各人用钱借给自己的族弟兄,竟向他索取利息啊。”于是我召集了大会来责备他们。
直 
我心里有了主见,就斥责贵冑和官长,对他们说:“你们各人(竟)向弟兄取高利!”于是我招聚大会对付他们,

וַיִּמָּלֵ֨ךְ לִבִּ֜י עָלַ֗י וָאָרִ֨יבָה֙ אֶת־הַחֹרִ֣ים וְאֶת־הַסְּגָנִ֔ים וָאֹמְרָ֣ה לָהֶ֔ם מַשָּׁ֥א אִישׁ־בְּאָחִ֖יו אַתֶּ֣םנֹשִׁ֑אים וָאֶתֵּ֥ן עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם קְהִלָּ֥ה גְדֹולָֽה׃
R  
And when I had considered this matter in my heart, I rebuked the nobles and the rulers and said to them, You men are charging interest, each man against his brother! And I set a great assembly against them.

Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.

And I consulted with myself; and I remonstrated with the nobles and the rulers, and said to them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother! And I set a great assembly against them.

and my heart reigneth over me, and I strive with the freemen, and with the prefects, and say to them, 'Usury one upon another ye are exacting;' and I set against them a great assembly,

I pondered them in my mind and then accused the nobles and officials. I told them, "You are exacting usury from your own countrymen!" So I called together a large meeting to deal with them

我对他们说,我们尽力赎回了我们的弟兄,就是卖与外邦的犹大人;你们还要卖弟兄,使我们赎回来么?他们静默不语,无话可答。

我对他们说:“我们尽力赎回我们弟兄,就是卖与外邦的犹大人;你们还要卖弟兄,使我们赎回来吗?”他们就静默不语,无话可答。
新 
我对他们说:“我们已尽了我们的能力,把那些卖了给外族人的同胞犹大人买赎回来,而你们还想要出卖你们的同胞,好让我们再把他们买回来吗?”他们都默不作声,无话可说。
思 
向他们说:“我们已费尽力量,赎回来了那些被卖给异民作奴隶的犹太同胞,难道你们又要卖你们的同胞,叫我们赎回来吗?”他们不出声,也不知如何回答。
吕 
我对他们说:“我们已尽了力量来赎回我们的族弟兄犹大人、那些卖给外国人的;你们、你们还要卖你们的族弟兄,好让他们又卖回给我们么?”他们都不作声,找不着话来说。
直 
我对他们说:“我们…买回那卖给列国的我们的犹大弟兄,尽我们的力.你们还要卖你们的弟兄,让他们把自己卖给我们吗?”他们静默不语,找不到话(回答)。
原 
וָאֹמְרָ֣ה לָהֶ֗ם אֲנַ֣חְנוּ קָ֠נִינוּ אֶת־אַחֵ֨ינוּ הַיְּהוּדִ֜ים הַנִּמְכָּרִ֤ים לַגֹּויִם֙ כְּדֵ֣י בָ֔נוּ וְגַם־אַתֶּ֛םתִּמְכְּר֥וּ אֶת־אֲחֵיכֶ֖ם וְנִמְכְּרוּ־לָ֑נוּ וַֽיַּחֲרִ֔ישׁוּ וְלֹ֥א מָצְא֖וּ דָּבָֽר׃ ס
R  
And I said to them, We have bought back our brothers the Jews who have been sold to the nations according to the best of our ability. So would you even sell your brothers that they would have to be sold back to us? And they held their peace and could find not a word to answer.
K  
And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
D  
And I said to them, We, according to our ability, have redeemed our brethren the Jews, who were sold to the nations; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? And they were silent and found no answer.
Y  
and say to them, 'We have acquired our brethren the Jews, those sold to the nations, according to the ability that is in us, and ye also sell your brethren, and they have been sold to us!' and they are silent, and have not found a word.
I  
and said: "As far as possible, we have bought back our Jewish brothers who were sold to the Gentiles. Now you are selling your brothers, only for them to be sold back to us!" They kept quiet, because they could find nothing to say.
尼5:9

恢 
我又说,你们所行的不善。为着避免我们仇敌外邦人的毁谤,你们行事不当敬畏我们的神么?
和 
我又说:“你们所行的不善!你们行事不当敬畏我们的神吗?不然,难免我们的仇敌外邦人毁谤我们。
新 
我又说:“你们这事作得不对。你们岂不应怀着敬畏我们神的心行事为人,免遭我们的仇敌外族人的毁谤吗?
思 
我接着说:“你们作的这事实在不对!为避免异民──我们仇敌的辱骂,你们岂不应怀着敬畏我们天主的心行事吗?
吕 
我又说:“你们所行的这事很不好;你们行事为人、岂不当存着敬畏我们的上帝的心,以避免我们的仇敌、外国人、的毁谤么?
直 
我就说:“你们所做的这件事不好,你们行事不该有(对)我们神的敬畏,…吗?以免遭到我们仇敌列国的毁谤
原 
וַיֹּאמֶר לֹא־טֹ֥וב הַדָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּ֣ם עֹשִׂ֑ים הֲלֹ֞וא בְּיִרְאַ֤ת אֱלֹהֵ֨ינוּ֙ תֵּלֵ֔כוּ מֵחֶרְפַּ֖ת הַגֹּויִ֥םאֹויְבֵֽינוּ׃
R  
Then I said, The thing that you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?
K  
Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?
D  
And I said, The thing that ye do is not good. Ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God, so as not to be the reproach of the nations our enemies?
Y  
And I say, 'Not good is the thing that ye are doing; in the fear of our God do ye not walk, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?
I  
So I continued, "What you are doing is not right. Shouldn't you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies?
尼5:10

恢 
我和我的弟兄与仆人也将银钱粮食借给百姓;我们大家都放弃收取利息吧。
和 
我和我的弟兄与仆人也将银钱、粮食借给百姓,我们大家都当免去利息。
新 
现在我和我的兄弟,以及我的仆人要把银钱和五谷借给他们。让我们大家都放弃放债取利吧!
思 
我和我的兄弟以及我的仆人,也都借给了他们银钱和食粮。好罢我们都免除他们这债务吧!
吕 
我也如此;我的族弟兄和僮仆也曾将银钱五谷借给人呀。我们都放弃这利息吧。
直 
我、我的弟兄和我的仆人们也.要将银钱和粮食借给他们,让我们都放弃这利息吧,
原 
וְגַם־אֲנִי֙ אַחַ֣י וּנְעָרַ֔י נֹשִׁ֥ים בָּהֶ֖ם כֶּ֣סֶף וְדָגָ֑ן נַֽעַזְבָה־נָּ֖א אֶת־הַמַּשָּׁ֥א הַזֶּֽה׃
R  
And even I, my brothers, and my servants lend them money and grain. Let us now abandon such taking of interest.
K  
I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury.
D  
I also, my brethren and my servants, we might exact usury of them, money and corn. I pray you, let us leave off this usury.
Y  
And also, I, my brethren, and my servants, are exacting of them silver and corn; let us leave off, I pray you, this usury.
I  
I and my brothers and my men are also lending the people money and grain. But let the exacting of usury stop!
尼5:11

恢 
如今我劝你们将他们的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园、房屋,并向他们所取的银钱、粮食、新酒和新油,百分之一的利息,都归还他们。
和 
如今我劝你们将他们的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园、房屋,并向他们所取的银钱、粮食、新酒和油,百分之一的利息都归还他们。”

请你们今天就把他们的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园、房屋,以及你们向他们索取的利息:百分之一的利钱、五谷、新酒和新油,都归还给他们。”
思 
今天就应当归还他们的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园和房屋,并归还由借给他们的银钱、食粮、酒、油所获的重利。”
吕 
我劝你们就在今天将他们的田地、葡萄园、橄榄园和房屋、跟你们所向他们索取的银钱、五谷、新酒、新油、的利息(传统:百分之一)都归还给他们吧。”
直 
你们今天要将…归还他们。”他们的田地、他们的葡萄园、他们的橄榄园、和他们的房屋,以及…一百个银子、和粮食、新酒和新鲜的油你们借给他们时所取的

הָשִׁיבוּ֩ נָ֨א לָהֶ֜ם כְּהַיֹּ֗ום שְׂדֹתֵיהֶ֛ם כַּרְמֵיהֶ֥ם זֵיתֵיהֶ֖ם וּבָתֵּיהֶ֑ם וּמְאַ֨ת הַכֶּ֤סֶף וְהַדָּגָן֙הַתִּירֹ֣ושׁ וְהַיִּצְהָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֖ם נֹשִׁ֥ים בָּהֶֽם׃
R  
Restore now to them, as of today, their fields, their vineyards, their olive groves, and their houses, as well as the hundredth part of the money and of the grain, new wine, and fresh oil that you charge them as interest.
K  
Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.
D  
Restore, I pray you, to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive-gardens, and their houses, also the hundredth [part] of the money, and of the corn, the wine and the oil, that ye have exacted of them.

Give back, I pray you, to them, as to-day, their fields, their vineyards, their olive-yards, and their houses, and the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, of the new wine, and of the oil, that ye are exacting of them.'

Give back to them immediately their fields, vineyards, olive groves and houses, and also the usury you are charging them-the hundredth part of the money, grain, new wine and oil."
尼5:12

众人说,我们必归还,不向他们索要,必照你所说的去行。我就召了祭司来,叫众人起誓,必照着所应许的去行。
和 
众人说:“我们必归还,不再向他们索要,必照你的话行。”我就召了祭司来,叫众人起誓,必照着所应许的而行。
新 
他们就说:“我们必定归还,不再向他们要求利息了,你怎么说,我们愿意照着你说的去行。”我就把祭司们召了来,叫众人起誓必照着这话去行。
思 
他们答说:“我们都归还给他们,不向他们索求什么;你怎么说;我们就怎么行。”接着我叫了司祭来,令那些人起誓,按这话去行。
吕 
众人就说:“我们必定要归还,不再向他们讨:你怎么说,我们就怎么行好啦。”我就把祭司们召了来,叫众人起誓,要照所说的这话而行。
直 
他们说:“我们必归还,不再向他们索要,我们会照你所说的,照样去做。”我就召了祭司来,叫他们起誓,必照这话去做。
原 
וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ נָשִׁ֗יב וּמֵהֶם֙ לֹ֣א נְבַקֵּ֔שׁ כֵּ֣ן נַעֲשֶׂ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר אַתָּ֣ה אֹומֵ֑ר וָאֶקְרָא֙ אֶת־הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔יםוָֽאַשְׁבִּיעֵ֔ם לַעֲשֹׂ֖ות כַּדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃
R  
And they said, We will restore it, and we will require nothing from them; so will we do, even as you say. Then I called for the priests and took an oath from them that they would do according to this promise.

Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.

And they said, We will restore [them], and will require nothing of them; so will we do, as thou hast said. And I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.

And they say, 'We give back, and of them we seek nothing; so we do as thou art saying.' And I call the priests, and cause them to swear to do according to this thing;
I  
We will give it back, they said. "And we will not demand anything more from them. We will do as you say." Then I summoned the priests and made the nobles and officials take an oath to do what they had promised.
尼5:13

我也抖着胸前的衣襟,说,凡不成就这应许的,愿神照样抖他离开家产和他劳碌得来的,直到抖空了。会众都说,阿们;又赞美耶和华。百姓就照着所应许的去行。
和 
我也抖着胸前的衣襟说:“凡不成就这应许的,愿神照样抖他离开家产和他劳碌得来的,直到抖空了。”会众都说:“阿们!”又赞美耶和华。百姓就照着所应许的去行。
新 
我抖着胸前的衣襟说:“不履行这话的,愿神也是这样抖他离开他的家和产业,直到抖空。”全体会众都说:“阿们!”又赞美耶和华。众人都照着这话去行。
思 
我又拂拭衣襟说道:“愿天主把一切不守这诺言的人,由他的房舍和他的财产中如此拂拭下去,直到将他拂拭净尽。”全会众都答说:“阿们。”同时又称颂了上主。人民都履行了诺言。
吕 
我也抖着胸前兜儿说:“凡不实行这诺言的、愿上帝照样地抖他离开他的家和他所得的产业,直到都抖空了。”全体大众都说“阿们(即:诚心所愿)”,又赞美永恒主。众民就照这诺言而行。

我也抖着我胸前(的衣襟),说:“…愿神像这样抖他凡不履行这话的人,离开他的家和他劳碌得来的,像这样抖空了。”全会众都说:“阿们!”又赞美耶和华。百姓就照这话去做。

R  
I also shook out the lap of my garment and said, May God shake out in the same way every man from his house and from his possessions who does not perform this promise; even so may he be shaken out and emptied. And all the assembly said, Amen; and they praised Jehovah. And the people acted according to this promise.
