所以亲爱的,我们既有这些应许,就当洁净自己,除去肉身和灵一切的玷污,敬畏神,以成全圣别。

亲爱的弟兄啊,我们既有这等应许,就当洁净自己,除去身体、灵魂一切的污秽,敬畏神,得以成圣。

所以,亲爱的,我们有了这些应许,就应该洁净自己,除去身体和心灵上的一切污秽,存着敬畏神的心,达到成圣的地步。

所以,亲爱的!我们既有这些恩许,就当洁净自己,除去肉体和心灵上的一切玷污,以敬畏天主之情来成就圣德。

所以亲爱的,我们既有这些应许,就该洁净自己,除去肉体上心灵上的一切沾污,以敬畏上帝之心来完成圣化。

所以既然我们有这样的应许,亲爱的,就当洁净自己,离开一切身体与灵魂的污秽,在对神的敬畏中得以完全圣洁。

ταύτας οὖν ἔχοντες τὰς ἐπαγγελίας, ἀγαπητοί, καθαρίσωμεν ἑαυτοὺς ἀπὸ παντὸς μολυσμοῦ σαρκὸς καὶ πνεύματος, ἐπιτελοῦντες ἁγιωσύνην ἐν φόβῳ θεοῦ.

Therefore since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and of spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

πρὸς κατάκρισιν οὐ λέγω· προείρηκα γὰρ ὅτι ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ἡμῶν ἐστε εἰς τὸ συναποθανεῖν καὶ συζῆν.

I do not say this to condemn you, for I have said before that you are in our hearts for our dying together and our living together.

I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.

I do not speak for condemnation, for I have already said that ye are in our hearts, to die together, and live together.

Great is my boldness toward you, great is my boasting on your behalf; I am filled with comfort, I overflow with joy in all our affliction.

For even when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted in everything; without were fightings, within were fears.

ἀλλ᾽ ὁ παρακαλῶν τοὺς ταπεινοὺς παρεκάλεσεν ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ Τίτου,

But He who comforts those who are downcast, that is, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

But he who encourages those that are [brought] low, [even] God, encouraged us by the coming of Titus;
Y
but He who is comforting the cast-down -- God -- He did comfort us in the presence of Titus;
I
But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus,

不但借着他来,也借着他在你们身上所得的安慰,安慰了我们,因他把你们的切望、你们的哀恸和你们为我的热心,都告诉了我们,叫我更加喜乐。

不但借着他来,也借着他从你们所得的安慰,安慰了我们,因他把你们的想念、哀恸和向我的热心,都告诉了我,叫我更加欢喜。

οὐ μόνον δὲ ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν τῇ παρακλήσει ᾗ παρεκλήθη ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν, ἀναγγέλλων ἡμῖν τὴν ὑμῶν ἐπιπόθησιν, τὸν ὑμῶν ὀδυρμόν, τὸν ὑμῶν ζῆλον ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ ὥστε με μᾶλλον χαρῆναι.

And not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted because of you, declaring to us your longing, your lamentation, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced the more.

And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

and not by his coming only, but also through the encouragement with which he was encouraged as to you; relating to us your ardent desire, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I the more rejoiced.

and not only in his presence, but also in the comfort with which he was comforted over you, declaring to us your longing desire, your lamentation, your zeal for me, so that the more I did rejoice,
I
and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.

我虽曾写信叫你们忧愁,我并不懊悔;虽然我曾懊悔过(因我晓得那信曾叫你们忧愁,尽管是一时的),
和
我先前写信叫你们忧愁,我后来虽然懊悔,如今却不懊悔,因我知道那信叫你们忧愁,不过是暂时的。

虽然我在那封信上使你们忧伤,但我现在并不后悔;其实我曾经有点后悔,因为知道那封信使你们忧伤,虽然只是暂时的。

ὅτι εἰ καὶ ἐλύπησα ὑμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐπιστολῇ, οὐ μεταμέλομαι· εἰ καὶ μετεμελόμην, βλέπω [γὰρ] ὅτι ἡ ἐπιστολὴ ἐκείνη εἰ καὶ πρὸς ὥραν ἐλύπησεν ὑμᾶς,

For though I caused you sorrow by the letter, I do not regret it. Even if I did regret it (for I see that that letter, even if for an hour, caused you sorrow),

For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.
D
For if also I grieved you in the letter, I do not regret [it], if even I have regretted it; for I see that that letter, if even [it were] only for a time, grieved you.
Y
because even if I made you sorry in the letter, I do not repent -- if even I did repent -- for I perceive that the letter, even if for an hour, did make you sorry.
I
Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it--I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while--

如今我却喜乐,不是因你们忧愁,乃是因你们忧愁以致悔改,因为你们照着神忧愁,就不至于在任何事上,因我们受亏损了。
和
如今我欢喜,不是因你们忧愁,是因你们从忧愁中生出懊悔来。你们依着神的意思忧愁,凡事就不至于因我们受亏损了。

现在我快乐,不是因为你们忧伤,而是因为你们的忧伤带来了悔改。你们依照神的意思忧伤,凡事就不会因我们受到亏损。

如今我却喜欢,并不是因为你们忧苦了,而是因为你们忧苦以致于悔改,因为你们是按照天主的圣意而忧苦的,所以没有由我们受到什么损害。

νῦν χαίρω, οὐχ ὅτι ἐλυπήθητε ἀλλ᾽ ὅτι ἐλυπήθητε εἰς μετάνοιαν· ἐλυπήθητε γὰρ κατὰ θεόν, ἵνα ἐν μηδενὶ ζημιωθῆτε ἐξ ἡμῶν.

Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to God, that in nothing you might suffer loss from us.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

Now I rejoice, not that ye have been grieved, but that ye have been grieved to repentance; for ye have been grieved according to God, that in nothing ye might be injured by us.

I now do rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye were made sorry to reformation, for ye were made sorry toward God, that in nothing ye might receive damage from us;
I
yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us.

因为照着神忧愁,生出悔改以致得救,是没有后悔的,但世上的忧愁是产生死亡。
和
因为依着神的意思忧愁,就生出没有后悔的懊悔来,以致得救;但世俗的忧愁是叫人死。

因为依照神的意思而有的忧伤,可以生出没有懊悔的悔改,以致得救;世俗的忧伤却会招致死亡。
思
因为按照天主圣意而来的忧苦,能产生再不返悔的悔改,以致于得救;世间的忧苦却产生死亡。

因为依顺着上帝而有的忧愁能生出不后悔的忏悔来、以至于得救;而世俗的忧愁却能生出死亡。

ἡ γὰρ κατὰ θεὸν λύπη μετάνοιαν εἰς σωτηρίαν ἀμεταμέλητον ἐργάζεται· ἡ δὲ τοῦ κόσμου λύπη θάνατον κατεργάζεται.

For sorrow according to God works repentance unto salvation, which is without regret; but the sorrow of the world works out death.
K
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
D
For grief according to God works repentance to salvation, never to be regretted; but the grief of the world works death.

for the sorrow toward God reformation to salvation not to be repented of doth work, and the sorrow of the world doth work death,
I
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

且看这事,你们照着神忧愁,在你们中间已产生何等的热诚、甚而自诉、甚而愤恨、甚而惧怕、甚而切望、甚而热心、甚而责罚。在各方面,你们都证荐自己在那件事上是纯洁的。
和
你看,你们依着神的意思忧愁,从此就生出何等的殷勤、自诉、自恨、恐惧、想念、热心、责罚(或作“自责”)。在这一切事上,你们都表明自己是洁净的。

看哪,你们依照神的意思忧伤,在你们中间就产生了怎样的热情、申诉、愤慨、战兢、渴望、热诚、正义;你们在各方面都表明了自己在那事上是清白的。
思
且看,这种按照天主圣意而来的忧苦,在你们中产生了多大的热情,甚而辨白,而愤慨,而恐惧,而切望,而热忱,而谴责;在各方面,你们表明自己对那事件是无罪的。
吕
你看,你们依顺着上帝而忧愁,这在你们中间已生出了何等的热切、何等的分诉、何等的愤慨、何等的危惧、何等的切慕、何等的热诚、何等的公正责罚啊!在各方面、你们都证明自己在那事上清清白白。

看哪,你们照着神

ἰδοὺ γὰρ αὐτὸ τοῦτο τὸ κατὰ θεὸν λυπηθῆναι πόσην κατειργάσατο ὑμῖν σπουδήν, ἀλλ᾽ ἀπολογίαν, ἀλλ᾽ ἀγανάκτησιν, ἀλλὰ φόβον, ἀλλ᾽ ἐπιπόθησιν, ἀλλὰ ζῆλον, ἀλλ᾽ ἐκδίκησιν. ἐν παντὶ συνεστήσατε ἑαυτοὺς ἁγνοὺς εἶναι τῷ πράγματι.
R
For behold this very thing, your being made sorrowful according to God, what earnestness it has worked out in you, indeed what defense, indeed what indignation, indeed what fear, indeed what longing, indeed what zeal, indeed what punishment! In everything you have commended yourselves to be pure in the matter.
K
For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
D
For, behold, this same thing, your being grieved according to God, how much diligence it wrought in *you*, but [what] excusing [of yourselves], but [what] indignation, but [what] fear, but [what] ardent desire, but [what] zeal, but [what] vengeance: in every way ye have proved yourselves to be pure in the matter.
Y
for, lo, this same thing -- your being made sorry toward God -- how much diligence it doth work in you! but defence, but displeasure, but fear, but longing desire, but zeal, but revenge; in every thing ye did approve yourselves to be pure in the matter.
I
See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

因此,我虽曾写信给你们,却不是为那亏负人的,也不是为那受亏负的,乃是为要在神面前,向你们显明你们对我们的热诚。
和
我虽然从前写信给你们,却不是为那亏负人的,也不是为那受人亏负的,乃要在神面前把你们顾念我们的热心表明出来。

因此,从前我虽然写过信给你们,却不是为了那亏负人的,也不是为了那受害的,而是在神面前把你们对我们的热情,向你们显现出来。
思
因此,虽然我从前给你们写了信,却不是为了那侵犯人的,也不是为了那受侵犯的,而是为要把你们对我们的热情,在天主面前表彰出来;

所以我虽然写信给你们,却不是为那冤枉人的,也不是为那受冤枉的,无非是要把你们因顾念我们而表示的热切、在上帝面前向你们指明出来吧了。

因此我虽然写信给你们,不是为了欺负人的.

ἄρα εἰ καὶ ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, οὐχ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικήσαντος οὐδὲ ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἀδικηθέντος ἀλλ᾽ ἕνεκεν τοῦ φανερωθῆναι τὴν σπουδὴν ὑμῶν τὴν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ.

So then, though I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of him who did the wrong, nor for the sake of him who was wronged, but for the sake of manifesting to you before God your earnestness for us.
K
Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.
D
So then, if also I wrote to you, [it was] not for the sake of him that injured, nor for the sake of him that was injured, but for the sake of our diligent zeal for you being manifested to you before God.
Y
If, then, I also wrote to you -- not for his cause who did wrong, nor for his cause who did suffer wrong, but for our diligence in your behalf being manifested unto you before God --
I
So even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did the wrong or of the injured party, but rather that before God you could see for yourselves how devoted to us you are.
恢
所以我们得了安慰,并且在这安慰之外,我们因提多的喜乐,就越发更加喜乐,因他的灵从你们众人得了畅快。
和
故此我们得了安慰。并且在安慰之中,因你们众人使提多心里畅快欢喜,我们就更加欢喜了。

διὰ τοῦτο παρακεκλήμεθα. Ἐπὶ δὲ τῇ παρακλήσει ἡμῶν περισσοτέρως μᾶλλον ἐχάρημεν ἐπὶ τῇ χαρᾷ Τίτου, ὅτι ἀναπέπαυται τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ πάντων ὑμῶν·

Because of this we have been comforted. And in addition to our comfort, we rejoiced more abundantly over the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you.

Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.

For this reason we have been encouraged. And we the rather rejoiced in our encouragement more abundantly by reason of the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

because of this we have been comforted in your comfort, and more abundantly the more did we rejoice in the joy of Titus, that his spirit hath been refreshed from you all;
I
By all this we are encouraged.

因为我若对提多夸奖了你们什么,也不觉得羞愧。相反的,我们对你们所说的一切事,怎样是真实的,我们在提多面前所夸奖你们的,也怎样成了真实的。
和
我若对提多夸奖了你们什么,也觉得没有惭愧,因我对提多夸奖你们的话成了真的,正如我对你们所说的话也都是真的。

我若对他夸奖过你们什么,也不觉得惭愧。我们对你们所说的是真话,照样,我们在提多面前夸奖你们的也是真的。
思
因为,我如果对弟铎夸耀过你们什么,我也不致于羞愧,因为我向他夸耀你们的话,成了真的,正如我们对你们所说的一切都是真的一样;
吕
我从前就是对他夸奖你们什么,也不觉得惭愧。不,我们怎样真真实实将一切事对你们说了,我们对提多所夸奖你们的也怎样见得是真实。
直
因为我若对他为你们自豪什么,我没有羞愧,而正如我们对你们说的每一个事情在真理中,如此我们对提多的自豪也成为真的。

ὅτι εἴ τι αὐτῷ ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν κεκαύχημαι, οὐ κατῃσχύνθην, ἀλλ᾽ ὡς πάντα ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ἐλαλήσαμεν ὑμῖν, οὕτως καὶ ἡ καύχησις ἡμῶν ἡ ἐπὶ Τίτου ἀλήθεια ἐγενήθη.

For if in anything I boasted to him on your behalf, I have not been put to shame; on the contrary, as we spoke all things in truth to you, so also our boasting before Titus turned out to be the truth.

For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.

Because if I boasted to him anything about you, I have not been put to shame; but as we have spoken to you all things in truth, so also our boasting to Titus has been [the] truth;

because if anything to him in your behalf I have boasted, I was not put to shame; but as all things in truth we did speak to you, so also our boasting before Titus became truth,

In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you. I had boasted to him about you, and you have not embarrassed me. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting about you to Titus has proved to be true as well.

καὶ τὰ σπλάγχνα αὐτοῦ περισσοτέρως εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐστιν ἀναμιμνῃσκομένου τὴν πάντων ὑμῶν ὑπακοήν, ὡς μετὰ φόβου καὶ τρόμου ἐδέξασθε αὐτόν.

And his affections are abundantly toward you, he remembering the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling.

And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
