祂固然由于软弱被钉十字架，却由于神的大能仍然活着。我们在祂里面也是软弱，但由于神向着你们的大能，必与祂同活。

你们该考查考查自己，是否仍站在信德上，你们要考验考验自己！难道你们自己认不出耶稣基督就在你们内吗？若不然，你们就是经不起考验的。

你们要试验自己是不是在信仰里生活；你们要察验自己。难道你们不认识自己，不知道耶稣基督在你们中间么，除非你们是不中用的话？

你们要省查自己是某在这信[信心、信仰、信实]中，你们要试验自己；你们不是真知道－基督在你们之中吗？除非你们是经不起考验的人。

故此我和你们不同在时写了这些话，好让我和你们同在时不必照主所赐给我、那为建立而不为攻倒、的权柄、严厉地措置。

因此，当我不在[那里]时，我写这些，为要在你们那里时，我不严厉使用[照着]这权柄，[这权柄]是主给我的，为要建造但不是拆毁。

διὰ τοῦτο ταῦτα ἀπὼν γράφω, ἵνα παρὼν μὴ ἀποτόμως χρήσωμαι κατὰ τὴν ἐξουσίαν ἣν ὁ κύριος ἔδωκέν μοι εἰς οἰκοδομὴν καὶ οὐκ εἰς καθαίρεσιν.

Therefore I write these things while being absent in order that when present I would not have to use severity, according to the authority which the Lord has given me for building up and not for overthrowing.

末了，弟兄们，要喜乐，要被成全，要受安慰，要思念相同的事，要和睦，如此那爱与和平的神，必与你们同在。

还有末了的话：愿弟兄们都喜乐。要作完全人，要受安慰，要同心合意，要彼此和睦。如此，仁爱和平的神必常与你们同在。

最后，弟兄们，你们要喜乐，要完全，要受安慰，要同心，要和睦。这样，施慈爱赐平安的神必与你们同在。

此外，弟兄们！你们要喜乐，要勉力成全，要服从劝勉，要同心合意，要彼此和睦：这样，仁爱与平安的天主必与你们同在。

Finally, brothers, rejoice, be perfected, be comforted, think the same thing, be at peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
