喜爱管教的,就是喜爱知识;恨恶责备的,却是愚蠢。
Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, / But he who hates reproof is stupid.
善人必蒙耶和华的恩惠;设诡计的人,耶和华必定罪。
A good man will obtain the favor of Jehovah, / But a man of wicked devices He will condemn.
人靠邪恶不能坚立;义人的根必不动摇。
A man will not be established by wickedness, / But the root of the righteous will not be moved.
才德的妇人是丈夫的冠冕;贻羞的妇人,如同丈夫骨中的朽烂。
A worthy woman is the crown of her husband, / But she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.
义人的筹算是公平;恶人的计谋是诡诈。
The thoughts of the righteous are just, / But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
恶人的话埋伏要流人的血;正直人的口必拯救人。
The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, / But the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
恶人倾覆,归于无有;义人的家,必站得住。
The wicked are overthrown and are no more, / But the house of the righteous will stand.
人必按自己的精明被称赞;心中乖谬的,必被藐视。
A man will be praised according to his prudence, / But he who is of a perverse heart will be despised.
被人轻贱,却有仆人,强如自尊,缺少食物。
Better is he who is lightly esteemed and has a servant, / Than he who honors himself and lacks bread.
义人顾惜他牲畜的命;恶人的心肠却是残忍。
A righteous man regards the life of his beast, / But the inward parts of the wicked are cruel.
耕种自己田地的,必得饱食;追随虚浮的,却是无知。
He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, / But he who pursues worthless things lacks sense.
恶人想望坏人的网罗;义人的根得以结实。
The wicked man desires the catch of evil men, / But the root of the righteous yields fruit.
恶人嘴中的过错是自己的网罗;但义人必从患难中出来。
In the transgression of the lips there is a snare for the evil man, / But the righteous man will come out of trouble.
人因口所结的果子,必饱得美福;人手所作的,必为自己的报应。
A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, / And the result of man's deeds will be rendered to him.
愚妄人所行的,在自己眼中看为正直,惟智慧人肯听劝戒。
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, / But a wise man listens to counsel.
愚妄人的恼怒立时显露,惟精明人能忍辱藏羞。
A fool's anger is known at once, / But a prudent man conceals shame.
吐露真话的,说出公义;作假见证的,显出诡诈。
He who utters truth tells forth righteousness; / But a false witness, deceit.
有人说话浮躁,如刀刺人;智慧人的舌头却能医治人。
There is one who speaks rashly like the piercings of a sword, / But the tongue of the wise brings healing.
口吐真话,永远坚立;舌说谎言,只存片时。
The lip of truth shall be established forever, / But a lying tongue is only for a moment.
图谋恶事的,心存诡诈;策划和平的,便有喜乐。
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, / But counselors of peace have joy.
义人不遭灾害;恶人满受祸患。
No harm will happen to the righteous man, / But the wicked are filled with trouble.
说谎言的嘴为耶和华所憎恶;行事忠信的,为祂所喜悦。
Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah, / But those who deal faithfully are His delight.
精明人隐藏知识;愚昧人的心宣扬愚妄。
A prudent man conceals knowledge, / But the heart of fools proclaims folly.
殷勤人的手必掌权;懒惰的人必服苦役。
The hand of the diligent will rule, / But the slothful will be under forced labor.
人心忧虑,使心消沉;一句良言,使心喜乐。
Anxiety in the heart of a man weighs it down, / But a good word brings it joy.
义人引导他的邻舍;恶人的道路叫人失迷。
The righteous man is a guide to his neighbor, / But the way of the wicked leads them astray.
懒惰的人不烧烤猎物;殷勤的人却得宝贵的财物。
The slothful man does not roast his game, / But the precious substance of men is to the diligent.
在公义的道路上有生命;其路径之中并无死亡。
In the way of righteousness is life, / And in its pathway there is no death.
