智慧妇人建立家室；愚妄妇人亲手拆毁。
The wise woman builds her house, / But the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.

行动正直的，敬畏耶和华；行事乖僻的，却藐视祂。
He who walks in his uprightness fears Jehovah, / But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.

愚妄人口中骄傲，如杖责打己身；智慧人的嘴必保守自己。
In the mouth of a fool is a rod for his pride, / But the lips of the wise will preserve them.

家里无牛，槽头干净；但出产加多，乃凭牛力。
Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, / But much increase comes by the strength of the ox.

忠信的见证人不说谎话；假见证人吐出谎言。
A faithful witness will not lie, / But a false witness utters lies.

亵慢人寻找智慧，却寻不着；聪明人轻易得着知识。
A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, / But knowledge comes easily to one who has understanding.

当离开愚昧人的面，因为你不见他嘴中有知识。
Go from the presence of a foolish man, / For you will not perceive in him the lips of knowledge.

精明人的智慧在乎明白自己的道路；愚昧人的愚妄乃是诡诈。
The wisdom of the prudent man is to understand his way, / But the folly of fools is deceit.

赎愆祭讥诮愚妄人，正直人却互相喜悦。
A trespass offering mocks fools, / But among the upright there is good will.

心中的苦楚自己知道，心里的喜乐外人无分。
The heart knows its own bitterness, / And a stranger does not share in its joy.

奸恶人的房屋必倒毁；正直人的帐棚必兴盛。
The house of the wicked will be destroyed, / But the tent of the upright will flourish.

有一条路，人以为正，至终却是死亡之路。
There is a way which seems right to a man, / But the end of it is the ways of death.

人在喜笑中，心也伤痛；快乐至极就是愁苦。
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, / And the end of joy is grief.

心中退后的，必饱得自己行径的结果；善人必从自己得满足。
The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, / And a good man will be satisfied from himself.

愚蒙人凡话都信；精明人步步慎思。
The simple man believes every word, / But the prudent man considers his steps.

智慧人惧怕，就远离恶事；愚昧人却狂傲自恃。
A wise man fears and departs from evil, / But the fool is arrogant and is confident.

急躁易怒的，行事愚昧；设诡计的，被人恨恶。
He who is quick to anger will deal foolishly, / And a man of wicked devices is hated.

愚蒙人得愚妄为产业；精明人得知识为冠冕。
The simple inherit folly, / But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

坏人俯伏在善人面前，恶人俯伏在义人门口。
The evil bow down before the good, / And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous man.

贫穷人连邻舍也恨他；富足人有许多朋友。
The poor man is hated even by his own neighbor, / But the rich man has many friends.

藐视邻舍的，这人有罪；恩待贫穷的，这人快乐。
He who despises his neighbor sins, / But happy is he who is gracious to the poor.

谋恶的，岂非走入迷途么？谋善的，必得慈爱和真实。
Do not they who devise evil go astray? / But lovingkindness and truth are with those who devise good.

诸般劳苦必有利益；嘴上徒言乃致穷乏。
In all labor there is profit, / But mere talk leads only to poverty.

智慧人的冠冕乃是他们的财富；愚昧人的愚妄终是愚妄。
The crown of the wise is their riches, / But the folly of fools is only folly.

作真见证的，救人性命；吐出谎言的，施行诡诈。
A truthful witness delivers souls, / But he who utters lies causes deceit.

敬畏耶和华的，有坚固的倚靠，他的儿女也有避难所。
In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, / And his children will have a place of refuge.

敬畏耶和华是生命的泉源，可以使人离开死亡的网罗。
The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, / That one may turn aside from the snares of death.

帝王荣耀在于民多；君王衰败在于民少。
In a multitude of people is the king's glory, / But in an absence of people is the ruin of the prince.

不轻易发怒的，大有聪明；灵里暴躁的，大显愚妄。
He who is slow to anger is of great understanding, / But he who has a hasty spirit exalts folly.

心中安静是肉体的生命；嫉妒是骨中的朽烂。
A tranquil heart is life to the flesh, / But envy is rottenness to the bones.

欺压贫寒的，是辱没造他的主；恩待穷乏的，乃是尊敬主。
He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, / But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

恶人在自己的恶行上，必被推倒；义人临死，有所投靠。
The wicked man is thrust down in his evildoing, / But the righteous man has a refuge when he dies.

智慧安居在聪明人心中；愚昧人内里所存的，显而易见。
Wisdom rests quietly in the heart of one who has understanding, / But in the inward part of fools it makes itself known.

公义使邦国高举；罪恶是人民的羞辱。
Righteousness exalts a nation, / But sin is a reproach to any people.

明智的臣子蒙王恩惠；贻羞的仆人遭其盛怒。
The king's favor is toward a servant who acts prudently, / But his overflowing wrath will be toward him who causes shame.
