Indicating That the House and the City of God Become the Praise, Safety, and Desire of the Saints, and That Christ Comes to Reign over the Whole Earth through the House and the City of God — the Church Give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good, / For His lovingkindness is forever.
你们要称谢耶和华，因祂本为善，祂的慈爱永远长存。 Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, / Whom He redeemed from the hand of the adversary,
愿耶和华的赎民说这话，他们是祂从敌人手中所救赎的， And gathered out of the lands, / From the east and from the west, / From the north and from the south.
从各地，从东从西，从北从南，所招聚来的。 They wandered in the wilderness, on the desert way; / They found no city of habitation.
他们在旷野，在荒野的路上飘流，寻不见可住的城邑； Hungry and thirsty, / Their soul fainted within them.
又饥又渴，里面的魂发昏。 Then they cried out to Jehovah in their trouble, / And He delivered them from their distresses.
于是他们在患难中哀求耶和华，祂就从他们的祸患中搭救他们； And He led them on a straight way / That they might come to a city of habitation.
又领他们行走直路，使他们走到可居住的城邑。 Let them give thanks to Jehovah for His lovingkindness / And for His wondrous deeds to the children of men.
但愿人因耶和华的慈爱，和祂向世人所行的奇事，都称谢祂。 For He satisfies the thirsty soul, / And the famished soul He fills with good.
因祂使干渴的人得以满足，使饥饿的人得饱美物。 Some inhabited darkness and the shadow of death, / And were bound in affliction and irons,
那些坐在黑暗中死荫里的人，被困苦和铁链捆锁， Because they rebelled against the words of God / And spurned the counsel of the Most High;
是因他们违背神的话语，藐视至高者的指教； Therefore He brought down their heart with labor; / They stumbled, and there was no one to help them.
所以祂用劳苦制伏他们的心；他们跌倒，无人扶助。 Then they cried out to Jehovah in their trouble, / And He saved them from their distresses.
于是他们在患难中哀求耶和华，祂就从他们的祸患中拯救他们。 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, / And He broke apart their bonds.
祂从黑暗和死荫里，领他们出来，折断他们的绑索。 Let them give thanks to Jehovah for His lovingkindness / And for His wondrous deeds to the children of men.
但愿人因耶和华的慈爱，和祂向世人所行的奇事，都称谢祂。 For He breaks down the doors of bronze / And cuts down the bars of iron.
因为祂打破了铜门，砍断了铁闩。 Some were fools, because of their way of transgression; / And because of their iniquities, they were afflicted.
愚妄人因自己过犯的行径，和自己的罪孽受苦。 Their soul loathed all food, / And they drew near to the gates of death.
他们的魂厌恶各样的食物，就临近死门。 Then they cried out to Jehovah in their trouble, / And He saved them out of their distresses.
于是他们在患难中哀求耶和华，祂就从他们的祸患中拯救他们。 He sent forth His word and healed them, / And He delivered them from the pits of destruction.
祂发出话语医治他们，救他们不见朽坏。 Let them give thanks to Jehovah for His lovingkindness / And for His wondrous deeds to the children of men.
但愿人因耶和华的慈爱，和祂向世人所行的奇事，都称谢祂。 And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving / And declare His doings in joyful song.
愿他们献上感谢祭，用乐歌述说祂的作为。 Those who go down to the sea in ships, / Conducting business on the mighty waters,
那些坐船下到海中，在大水上经理事务的人， These see Jehovah's doings / And His wondrous deeds in the deep.
他们看见耶和华的作为，并祂在深水中的奇事。 For He commanded and raised up a storm wind, / And it lifted up the waves of the sea.
因祂一吩咐，就兴起狂风，扬起海中的波浪。 They mounted up to the heavens; they went down to the depths; / Their soul melted in the calamity.
他们上到天空，下到深渊；他们的心因灾难便融化。 They reeled and staggered like a drunken man, / And all their skill was swallowed up.
他们摇摇晃晃，东倒西歪，好像醉酒的人；他们的智慧无法可施。 Then they cried out to Jehovah in their trouble, / And He brought them out of their distresses.
于是他们在患难中哀求耶和华，祂就领他们从祸患中出来。 He made the storm be still, / And the waves of the sea were calm;
祂使狂风止息，海浪就平静。 And they rejoiced that they were quiet, / And He brought them to the haven they desired.
风息浪静，他们便欢喜，祂就引他们到所愿去的港口。 Let them give thanks to Jehovah for His lovingkindness / And for His wondrous deeds to the children of men.
但愿人因耶和华的慈爱，和祂向世人所行的奇事，都称谢祂。 And let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people / And praise Him in the assembly of the elders.
愿他们在百姓的大会中尊崇祂，在长老的会集中赞美祂。 He turns rivers into a wilderness, / And springs of water into thirsty ground;
祂使江河变为旷野，叫水泉变为干渴之地； Fruitful land into a salt flat, / Because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
使多结果实的地变为咸地，这都因其间居民的邪恶。 He turns a wilderness into a pool of water, / And a dry land into springs of water.
祂使旷野变为水潭，叫旱地变为水泉。 And He makes the hungry dwell there, / That they may prepare a city of habitation
祂使饥饿的人住在那里，好兴建可住的城邑， And sow fields and plant vineyards / And get a fruitful yield.
又种田地，栽葡萄园，得着丰盛的出产。 He also blesses them, and they are multiplied greatly; / And He does not let their cattle decrease.
祂又赐福给他们，叫他们大大增多；也不叫他们的牲畜减少。 When they are diminished and bowed down / Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,
当他们因暴虐、患难、愁苦，人数减少，并且卑屈， He pours contempt on princes, / And makes them wander in a pathless waste.
祂使贵胄蒙羞被辱，使他们在荒废无路之地飘流。 But He raises the needy man high above affliction / And makes his families like flocks.
祂却将穷乏人安置在高处，脱离苦难，使他的家族繁衍，如同羊群。 The upright see it and rejoice; / And all iniquity stops its mouth.
正直人看见就喜乐；一切作孽之人都塞口无言。 Who is wise? Then let him observe these things / And consider the lovingkindness of Jehovah.
谁有智慧？愿他留意这些事，并思想耶和华的慈爱。 |
