耶和华的话临到我，说，
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

你去向耶路撒冷人的耳中喊叫，说，耶和华如此说，你幼年的恩爱，新婚的爱情，你怎样在旷野，在未曾耕种之地跟随我，我都记得。
Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says Jehovah: / I remember concerning you the kindness of your youth, / The love of your bridal days, / When you followed after Me in the wilderness, / In a land that was not sown.

那时以色列归耶和华为圣，作为祂所出产的初熟果子；凡吞吃他的，便算为有罪，灾祸就临到他们；这是耶和华说的。
Israel was holiness to Jehovah, / The firstfruits of His increase; / All who ate of it were guilty; / Evil came upon them, / Declares Jehovah.

雅各家，以色列家的各族啊，你们当听耶和华的话。
Hear the word of Jehovah, O house of Jacob and all the families of the house of Israel.

耶和华如此说，你们的列祖见我有什么不义，竟远离我，随从虚无的神，自己成为虚妄呢？
Thus says Jehovah: / What iniquity did your fathers find in Me / That they went far away from Me / And walked after vanity / And became vain?

他们也不说，那领我们从埃及地上来，引导我们经过旷野，经过沙漠有深坑之地，经过干旱死荫之地，经过无人通行、无人居住之地的耶和华在哪里呢？
And they did not say, Where is Jehovah, / Who brought us up from the land of Egypt, / Who brought us through the wilderness, / Through a land of deserts and pits, / Through a land of drought and the shadow of death, / Through a land that no one passes through / And where no man dwells?

我领你们进入肥美之地，使你们得吃其中的果子和美物；但你们进入的时候，就玷污我的地，使我的产业成为可憎之物。
And I brought you into the land of the fruited field, / To eat its fruit and its goodness. / But you came and defiled My land / And made My inheritance an abomination.

祭司都不说，耶和华在哪里呢？执掌律法的，都不认识我，牧者违背我，申言者借巴力说预言，随从无益之物。
The priests did not say, / Where is Jehovah? / And those who handle the law did not know Me, / And the shepherds transgressed against Me, / And the prophets prophesied by Baal / And followed after things that did not benefit them.

耶和华说，因此我必与你们争辩，也必与你们的子孙争辩。
Therefore I will yet contend with you, declares Jehovah; / And with your children's children I will contend.

你们且过到基提众海岛去察看，打发人往基达去留心查考，看曾有这样的事没有。
For pass over to the coastlands of Kittim and see, / And send someone to Kedar and consider carefully, / And see if there has ever been anything like this.

岂有一国换了自己的神么？其实那些并不是神；但我的百姓，将他们的荣耀换了那无益的神。
Has a nation ever exchanged its gods, / Even though they are no gods? / But My people have exchanged their glory / For that which does not benefit them.

诸天哪，要因此惊骇、恐慌，极其凄凉；这是耶和华说的。
Be appalled at this, O heavens, / And be horrified; be very desolate, / Declares Jehovah.

因为我的百姓，作了两件恶事，就是离弃我这活水的泉源，为自己凿出池子，是破裂不能存水的池子。
For My people have committed two evils: / They have forsaken Me, / The fountain of living waters, / To hew out for themselves cisterns, / Broken cisterns, / Which hold no water.

以色列是奴仆么？是家中生的奴仆么？为何竟成为掠物呢？
Is Israel a slave? Is he a homeborn slave? / Why has he become a prey?

少壮狮子向他咆哮，大发吼声，使他的地荒凉，城邑也都焚烧，无人居住。
The young lions roared over him; / They sounded their voices. / And they have made his land a waste; / His cities are burned, without inhabitant.

挪弗人和答比匿人，也剃光你的头顶。
Also the children of Memphis and Tahpanhes / Have shaved the crown of your head.

这事临到你身上，不是你自招的么？不是因耶和华你神引你行路的时候，你离弃了祂么？
Have you not done this to yourself / By your forsaking Jehovah your God / When He was leading you in the way?

现今你为何在往埃及的路上，要喝西曷的水呢？你为何在往亚述的路上，要喝大河的水呢？
And now what do you have on the road to Egypt, / To drink the waters of the Shihor? / And what do you have on the road to Assyria, / To drink the waters of the River?

你自己的恶必惩治你，你背道的事必责备你。因此要知道并看见，你离弃耶和华你的神，对我毫无畏惧，乃为恶事，为苦事；这是主万军之耶和华说的。
Your own wickedness will correct you, / And your apostasies will reprove you. / Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing, / That you have forsaken Jehovah your God / And that My fear is not in you, / Declares the Lord Jehovah of hosts.

你在古时折断你的轭，挣开你的绳索；你说，我必不事奉耶和华！你在各高冈上，各青翠树下，躺卧行淫。
For long ago you broke your yoke; / You tore off your bonds; / And you said, I will not serve! / Indeed upon every high hill / And under every flourishing tree / You have lain down, you have committed fornication.

然而我栽种你是上好的葡萄树，全然是真种子。你怎么向我变为外邦葡萄树的坏枝条呢？
Yet I, I had planted you as a choice vine, / Wholly a faithful seed. / How then have you turned yourself before Me / Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?

你虽用碱，多用肥皂洗濯，你罪孽的污渍仍然留在我面前；这是主耶和华说的。
For though you wash yourself with lye / And make use of much soap, / Your iniquity remains as a stain before Me, / Declares the Lord Jehovah.

你怎能说，我没有被玷污，没有随从众巴力？看你谷中的路，就知道你所作的如何。你像快行的小骆驼，狂奔乱走；
How can you say, I am not defiled; / I have not gone after the Baals? / Look at your way in the valley; / Know what you have done. / You are like a swift young camel entangling her ways,

你像野母驴惯在旷野，欲心发动就吸风喘气。她起性的时候，谁能使她转回呢？凡寻找她的，必不至疲乏：在她的月分，必能寻见。
Like a wild donkey accustomed to the wilderness, / Panting after the wind in her desire. / In her passion who can turn her away? / None that seek her will weary themselves: / They will find her in her month.

我说，你不要使脚上无鞋，喉咙干渴；你倒说，这是枉然。我喜爱外邦神，我必随从他们。
Keep your foot from being unshod / And your throat from thirst; / But you said, It is hopeless. / No! For I have loved strangers, / And I will go after them.

贼被捉拿，怎样羞愧，以色列家和他们的君王、首领、祭司、申言者，也照样羞愧。
As the thief is ashamed when he is found, / So the house of Israel is ashamed — / They, their kings, their princes, / And their priests and their prophets,

他们向树木说，你是我的父；向石头说，你生了我。他们以背向着我，不以面向着我；及至遭遇患难的时候却说，起来拯救我们。
Who say to a tree, You are my father; / And to a stone, You have brought me forth — / For they have turned their back to Me, / And not their faces. / Yet in a time of their trouble they will say, / Arise and save us.

你为自己作的神在哪里？你遭遇患难的时候，他们若能拯救你，就叫他们起来吧。犹大啊，你神的数目，与你城的数目相等。
But where are your gods, whom you made for yourselves? / Let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your trouble; / For according to the number of your cities / Are your gods, O Judah.

耶和华说，你们为何与我争辩？你们都违背了我。
Why do you contend with Me? / You have all transgressed against Me, / Declares Jehovah.

我责打你们的儿女，是徒然的：他们不受管教；你们自己的刀，吞灭你们的申言者，好像残害的狮子。
In vain I have stricken your children: / They have taken no correction. / Your own sword has devoured your prophets / Like a destroying lion.

这世代的人哪，你们要注意耶和华的话：我岂向以色列成了旷野么？或成了幽暗之地么？我的百姓为何说，我们自由无拘，再不来你这里了？
O generation, attend to the word of Jehovah: / Have I been a wilderness to Israel, / Or a land of deep darkness? / Why do My people say, We roam about; / We will no longer come to You?

处女岂能忘记她的妆饰呢？新妇岂能忘记她的美衣呢？我的百姓，却忘记了我无数的日子。
Can the virgin forget her ornaments, / Or the bride her attire? / But My people have forgotten Me / For days without number.

你多么会修饰自己的道路，去寻求爱情！所以连恶劣的妇人，你也教导她们行你的路。
How you prepare your ways / To seek love! / Therefore you have even taught / Wicked women your ways.

并且你的衣襟上有无辜穷人的血；你杀他们，并不是遇见他们挖洞入屋，乃是因这一切的事。
Also on your skirts is found / The lifeblood of the innocent poor. / You did not find them breaking in, / But killed them because of all these things.

你还说，我是无辜的；耶和华的怒气，必定从我转消了。我必审问你，因你说，我没有犯罪。
But you said, I am innocent; / Surely His anger will turn from me. / I am about to enter into judgment with you, / Because you say, I have not sinned.

你为何东奔西跑，更换你的道路呢？你也必因埃及蒙羞，像从前因亚述蒙羞一样。
Why do you go about so much / To change your way? / You will be put to shame by Egypt also, / Even as you were put to shame by Assyria.

你必两手抱头，从埃及出来；因为耶和华已经弃绝你所倚靠的，你必不因他们得亨通。
Indeed, from it you will go forth / With your hands upon your head; / For Jehovah has rejected those in whom you trust, / And you will not prosper by them.
